The process of purchasing a refurbished unit was a long drawn out tedious task. It took a month of calling just to hunt down my sales girl. She never wanted to follow up with me or Dr. There really was no communication. Finally after my last attempt case was handled and order shipped a month late. Then it shows up with no shoulder strap. Pretty bad luck with this process.

I purchased this Inogen for my dad to give him more freedom since he now has to wear oxygen all the time. He does not like it because of the pulse of Oxygen instead of the continual flow. Pretty much a waste of money. Might be good for some people but not everyone.

I purchased an inogen G5 about a month or so a go, and I 70 years old and it's a little on the heavy side

My Inogen G5 is heavier than I anticipated. However I love the backpack which I attach to a small rolling hand truck. Controls are easy to operate.

The concentrator is great. It works as advertised. The customer service is horrible. When you first inquire about it, they call your house and email daily to make a sale. They tell you as part of the sale that they will work with your insurance company. After you agree to buy and give them your insurance info they say we only deal with Medicare. When asked for ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, diagnostic and product codes to bill my insurance myself they reply with an email link for customer testimonials and stock options of the company. I still do not have the info needed to bill my insurance,

So far it has been good. My only thing is that it says do not get it wet - If a rain storm comes up and you are outside, how do you prevent it from getting wet

When i walk a fairly long distance, the inogen doesn't give me enough oxygen for my lung condition. For shorter walks it seems to be sufficient. The va is giving me a mobile cart soon that should help me with this condition.
