We bought an Inogen G3 last year after my wife caught pneumonia while we were on vacation. Oxygen tanks were cumbersome and restricted her movement, and since we live in Hawaii (and were on the mainland) she needed a portable oxygen concentrator to fly home. The doctors wouldn’t release her since her oxygen levels remained too low and she had some fluid retention. After researching our options I chose an Inogen G3. The unit surpassed my expectations, frankly. It was reliable, relatively quiet, portable and the batteries met their advertised eight hours between charges. Customer service exceeded expectations. Once home she recovered quickly and after three weeks we were able to store our G3. But it’s there if we ever need supplemental oxygen again. I highly recommend Inogen.

Just received the equipment about a month ago and find it a irreplaceable. I can sleep at night and through the night. Not waking up and even sleeping longer with no gasping for air. Also discovered that the tubing develops kinks where it connects to the stationary unit. Customer service suggested taping the weak point. However, I went out and purchased a PVC 1/2" diameter long radius elbow from Home Depot's electrical section and inserted the tubing through it and placing the large end on the unit. It costs about $.77.

It has helped me to be mobile at 64 young I never pictured myself having to be on oxygen. I have air anywhere I go. Whether I'm plugged into an outlet, my car, or on my battery. The inogen g5 is an awesome product and I'm grateful to have it! It took me a little while to get used to the sound of it when it's on. But well worth it!

My Mother ordered this machine and she was in the hospital when it came. She passed away Thursday. I have been trying to get an RMA number Rick told me about . Rick sold the $3000 machine to my Mother. He told me he would call me with the RMA number last week. He has not called. I need to return this machine. The box has never been opened. I just keep getting transferred and no one answers or calls me back. Finally Customer Service answered and is giving me the RMA number to return this machine. This woman was very nice and gave me the info I needed.....why couldn't the other 100 people I talked to give the info to me?? I am not very happy with the return process with this company, they only caused me more grief since my Mother passed away last week.

It takes some getting used to all the beeps , etc, especially the "system error" but I discovered how to handle it. It is a Godsend--I can't imagine wrestling with the O2 tanks!!

I have recently had to use the “3” setting on my Inogen One G-4. This seriously reduces the available time when using batteries. I also have a G-3, which has larger batteries.
