THE Gen 5 distributes the oxygen as directed. It is extremely heavy especially with the double battery. I use a fannypack to carry it so I can continue to work. I am 5’ tall so the cross strap rubs on my neck even with the padded piece covering the strap. Getting in and out of the car takes some maneuvering. I did not expect the unit to be as heavy as it is. It is convenient to change the battery from the bottom and the batteries do have the operating time that we were told. I’ve been using it almost two months now and am still trying to get used to it.

When I ordered this I was under the idea that the Inogen is a light machine To wear or carry. You are so wrong. I have had 4 back operations and I tried Wearing this and it is to painful on my neck and back. I can’t believe how HEAVY this is. I do not recommend this if it is this heavy. I have also carried it and I can only use one hand as the other has had surgery and can’t lift the weight.

The burst of air is a problem, my home air is constant and quiet. It is very noisy and I am noticed where ever I go. I was told it was quiet but it is not. I have sores in my nose from the burst of air. I do not use it very often

i was using it and about 3 hours i was out of ox the battery was dead i was out of ox and did not have agood battery there suppose to last 6-7 hours not 3 the sales man is a good lier i think i will use my tanks

Sales rep that took my order told me to call him and he would help me set up and go over some preventive maint. with me. I called and left him a message and got no response. Not happy.

The product is quiet and efficient. I am frustrated by the long wait times, 18 minutes average to get a human response to calls for tech support Thia has happened several times.

I have been an Inogen customer for at least five years.The company has changed and not for the better.Customer service is no help.I know I need a new unit mine has stopped working.They used to send out a new one if you needed it.I never got an answer to getting a new one.I got disconnected from customer service.They didn't bother calling me back.I have just ordered a new one from another company.I will never recommend Inogen.

Purchased new g5 unit direct from Inogen. Used it for several weeks. Oxygen output was very good. Problem was heat output out of vent was very hot, beyond normal. Very difficult getting a company service reply. Returned unit, cost $100 to ship. Did ask status of unit. They did not reply about details of defective unit. After numerous phone calls to multiple departments, they refunded the cost less $100. It may cost more, but it may better to try a unit available locally...Bennettson
