First I didn't know what product I need. Hence I contacted a TurboTax sales rep and she sold me the wrong product. I paid, downloaded and started everything only to find after about half an hour that I had the wrong product. Then same procedure again and it was working more or less fine and I was able to e-file, but then the program said I have to file some papers by mail and so I hit the print button, which lead to an error message. I called the support and they have not been able to help or to advise. I have a very easy tax return, so I was pretty sure I can e-file only, but because of this error I had to print everything, go to the post office and spend 1 extra hour and about 10$ for the envelope, gas and stamps. What a bummer. Never again. Why did I pay 169$. Nonsense.

I filed my taxes for free (state and federal). It worked and it was free! Good service for basic taxes, can't speak to anything else.

At first I was going I was going to let you have it after all the problems I had, but I repented just a little . TurboTax has made a lot of changes in the past 30 years.and I think a lot of them are bad., You could compare your return to US to see how you stood with others.That has been omitted or I could not find it in my return, They have left out a lot of other goodies. I may have graded a little on the hard side but I am trying to tell you what I think .Not necessary what you would like to hear I will still come back next year to see what you have changed. Throughout the whole process of completing my taxes, they kept showing how it is FREE and FREE...then when you see you have a refund, they don't give you a choice but to pay. They tried to charge me $72 on upselling me crap! I'd rather go to a tax preparer if I'm going to pay that and do them myself. EFF YOU TurboTax. I deleted my information and will do my taxes elsewhere.

There IS NO FREE TURBO TAX--THEY ARE NOT TRUTHFUL! Efile with a credit card can cost you hundreds if you owe--isn't free!! They charge YOU their credit card seller service fees! ALSO THERE IS NO brained CUSTOMER SERVICE WITHOUT DAYS TO WAIT! Just a WAIT for a person answers the phone who takes a number for call back. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL THEM THIS IS NOT HELP!! ALSO THEIR ONLINE SOFTWARE IS AWFUL--just how many times do YOU want to answer if you are an American Indian to correct something? Is you house in a flood zone? why answer this 20 times just to add the mortgage interest. AND FINDING THE DESKTOP DOWNLOAD WITH FORM ACCESS TAKES HELP--THEY DO NOT WANT IT FOUND. THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO DOWNLOAD AND HAVE A COPY--THO I PAID OVER $200 FOR THEIR free (USED TO BE $20)SOFTWARE?? In short, after 17 years of using turbo tax--as a tax pro--I will find someone else now. They have gone to the dogs--the really stinky ones that need a bath to be decent again!!

Sneaky people charge you at the very end giving you two options: pay $29.99 or reenter all of your information on another website. Also they try to charge you for looking at the forms! I had to fill out a paper 1040 because FAFSA wanted to know a certain number in a certain line on my 1040. Turbotax asks you to upgrade to see "Forms mode". I am definitely using another service.
