I turned to TurboTax years ago, probably like 10 or 12 years back, and after getting used to it after a couple of years I found it very easy to use. I’ve used it on Windows, then iOS on my iPad. But, after this year I’ll never use it again. The iOS app kept putting me into eternal loops, wouldn’t allow me past some pages unless I bought something, just doing weird things. Over the years I wound up with two accounts and this year, after completing about half my return, TurboTax told me I was using an account I didn’t use last year. Was this going to be a problem? I didn’t know, I knew it was an account I had used many times before. I decided to finish and submit it to the IRS. When I did that it was rejected by the IRS because of an issue with my spouses AGI not matching on last years return. Thinking the problem was because I used two different accounts I should do my return using the same account I used last year, so I went through the process all over again snd filed. My returns, federal and state were accepted. All good? Not really. TurboTax charges for each filing. They consider the transaction completed when the return is filed. I filed my return twice. Even though it was the same return, and the first filing was rejected, I had to pay for both. Not eligible for a refund was the verdict on my appeal.
