Boxes frequently missing multiple items. Boxes often delivered to wrong address and we just get refunded and an apology but no improvement (2-3 times this past year) Fruit inside boxes is a joke so we tended to stick with vegetables. Waiting on the delivery and getting that text to find out that our box is not there, we're missing half our order, or opening it up to find items missing just won't cut it for us anymore. We are done with this company and incredibly disappointed as we felt that we gave them so many chances.

They have messed up resulting in my food not coming 3 times. Eggs are often broken, yogurt is burst, order is often a day late. This last time the card they had on file needed to be updated, it said it updated, then I got an email at 6:02 saying my order was canceled. I called when I saw it at 7 asking for them to fix that and they would not. After making so many accommodations for them they leave me stranded again! Right before Easter brunch. They are the worst!

Like so many others that have reviewed, my experience with Imperfect was extremely disappointing. Each week, I received shipments with ruined items due to poor packaging and delayed shipments. Every box I opened contained warm refrigerated items (meat and cheese), crushed produce, and dry goods that had fallen out of their packaging and were scattered about. The poor packing led to me throwing out far more food than I ever have in my life. The idea of Imperfect is wonderful, but the reality is substantially more food waste. In the end, the company just comes across as an enormous scam.

Just reading these reviews has changed my mind. I will never purchase these products. So glad I read them first.

I had imperfect foods when it was “imperfect produce” and I loved it! I tried so many different fruits and vegetables and it was a money saver or if the prices were the same I got more variety and it inspired so many different dinners I never would have made. Then they got GREEDY! Instead of helping people save money and saving the planet they turned it into this imperfect foods thing which is so stupid! What is imperfect about SUPER expensive organic pasta or whole grain rice. There was only options for wilted carrots and apples and plenty of options for overpriced pantry items. It was a complete waste of money and they are complete sell outs. Save yourself the trouble of having to cancel your subscription and DO NOT sign up for imperfect foods. They are hypocrites and are exactly what today’s world does NOT need. So happy I’m rid of them.

There were a number of issues with this service. I wouldn’t be surprised if I had to contact customer service with issues with my delivery/order on a weekly basis. From delivering at the wrong location, bruised or damage goods, inaccurate amount/weight of items ordered, wrong food being packaged that we didn’t order and missing items that we did order, conventional produce instead of organic produce, and the quality being in question this was the final straw. We would have chats every week saying “Is this the week we cancel? We shall see”. Unfortunately I would not recommend this service to anyone and would advise such person to opt for another service before resorting to Imperfect Foods.

I do NOT recommend Imperfect Foods. This is Not a service for a family- the portions and combination of options is strange and doesn’t help in my meal planning for a family of 5. And once you order for a family the price becomes Exorbitant. The biggest problem I have with them, though, Is that they sent a box of fruit and vegetables infested with COCKROACHES. I didn’t realize it until the next day and had to call and pay for an exterminator. I have never had a cockroach in my house in my life and this really shook me. Open your boxes outdoors and wash everything immediately!!!!!

Horrible business model relies on Fedex to pick up and deliver boxes packed by Imperfect Foods. Problem is Fedex often doesn't pick up or has "unavoidable" delays in delivering--and Imperfect Foods doesn't check to see whether a box has been picked up. REPEATEDLY received notification AFTER my box was supposed to have been delivered that box would be late. Sometimes, I received the box a week late. This week, there was no message . . . "oh, looks like Fedex didn't pick up your box. Sorry, no, we can't deliver another box to you this week. Guess you'll have to make do with what you already have." And then asked what they could do to keep my business. HAH. NOT.
