The site does a pretty good job of explaining the complicated nature of buying a desk. However, it would benefit immensely from a real-time 3D image of the desk being customized as the user adds, removes and updates features.

The product itself is superb. The rest of the experience left something to be desired: The online chat is unable to connect to customer support. It's strictly sales. That means you can only get updates by calling during their business hours. The support people don't really have much info either. The site said that the combination of options I selected would be ready within 3-4 weeks. The actual delivery was a little over 8 weeks. The online info said to contact the logistics company when it arrived at their depot to arrange for home delivery. What actually happened was they showed up unannounced at my house on the date. Lucky my wife was between teaching classes and able to answer the door. The product arrived with 8 threaded screw holes to attach the base to the legs. 7 of them allowed for screws. The 8th had a chunk of metal in the threads that prevented a screw going in. Neither file nor awl was sufficient. Fortunately I happen to have a tap and was able to knock it out with that. It added about 30 minutes to the assembly, so 45 instead of 15.

I like the desk, at the same time I feel it has some room for improvement. 1. Although the assembly instructions are straightforward, the actual assembly turned out challenging. Definitely not a one-person job. Also, one of these people needs to be a very big guy to make sure the clips go into the places. 2. The electric plug system is suboptimal. It would be helpful to have a set of electric plugs under the desk surface, to avoid the need to run all the cables down. It would be very convenient.

Appreciate the feedback. 1) Sorry assembly was not as easy for you. As far as lifting a large desk and turning it over, yes that part is easier with 2 people if you have a large heavy desk. As far as the clips/locks go, although a big guy might have a bit easier time, it's actually not so hard if you "finesse" stepping on the clip slightly at an angle. Brute force straight down is a bit tougher. We'll improve our instructions to indicate that. 2) The electrical plug is simply the plug for the desk. It want a set of outlets to plug other things into we have several options including cable management kits and power nodes. Check those out on our website and ask one the folks on chat for help if you neet it. Enjoy your desk!

The Lander L-Desk product is great, but delivery system needs improvement. "Your order has shipped" e-mail from iMovR said to expect the logistics carrier to contact by phone regarding the final delivery date/time and delivery is typically 5 - 10 working days after product ships from factory. The product showed up (to our surprise) in 3 working days, and we never received a call from the logistics carrier.

If you want to lift your computer and permanently use it in stand-up mode, this is a good choice. It is sturdy. However, it is less comfortable in the sitting position since this device raises the computer, and keyboard, 7.5 inches about the desk surface. Also though it is not too difficult to lift and lower, it is not as easy as it sounds, so it's not something I want to do on a daily basis.

The Lander Sit Stand desk is well made. It has a nice smooth table top surface. The legs on the desk look stylish and the control buttons work well. Response time of the control is fast and the motor is fairly quite. Stability at the sitting position is good. Although the stability at the standing position was not as secure as I expected it to be. A stability cross bar which is not currently an option, would have made this table more stable in my opinion. Overall it is a good quality desk.

Thank you for the feedback. Our stability for a standing desk in the standing position without a mid-level crossbar at knee level is one of the best in the industry. A few companies do have a permanent "stability cross bar" at the knee level but the downside of that stability crossbar is that in the sitting position this crossbar is often referred to as a "knee crusher." It's a feature we will consider as an extra option for those who are only going to use it in the standing position but we can't recommend to use it in the sitting position as it's uncomfortably in the way for most people we have learned over the years. iMovR makes a good product, but their customer service is lacking. I paid for a desk to be shipped to me fully assembled -- in other words, in working order. When the desk arrived, it didn't work. I called Ben at iMovR, told him the problem and he suggested I turn the desk over and start checking the wires. I'm 66 years old. I'm no longer in the habit of turning over heavy desks. I said that rather than my ending up in the hospital, better if they send over a technician to solve the problem. Ben told me they have no technicians to send, that they provide no follow-up, and this malfunctioning desk was my problem to solve. And that was it. No help. And worse, no partial refund to cover the technician I hired to solve the problem.
