Chicken and waffles $17.99. 1 small waffle and 4 over cooked (30 seconds from burnt) chicken strips served with ranch dressing I did not order. Tough chicken, ok but small waffle. My issue is for the price I expected much more and maybe an accurate description on the menu.

Everything went wrong Walked in stood there for 10 min before someone acknowledged us Sat down and go service pretty quick so I thought ok but nope after ordering it took 40min to get our food and waitress apologized for the wait said kitchen was backed up but people behind us on both sides sat after us and were actually done eating before we even got our food. When my food came out it was luke warm and had to wait an additional 5 min before my wife’s food come out. Then they forgot the French fries we ordered with her meal said they will make fresh when the fries came out we were 100% done with our meal 1 star is too much it should be half a star that will be my last trip to ihop. Keke’s or first watch Cracker Barrel dennys will all be first choice before I ever go to ihop

I used to really enjoy going to IHOP. The past few years the stores I have been to have been absolutely horrible. I am writing about the one in Hillsboro, TX today. It is just across the road from the new Buc-ee station. I have been there twice since they moved from their old location on the I-35 service road. Today was really bad. My wife and I went this morning a little after 10. It looked to be about 30% occupied. We were seated and told that a server would be right with us. About 5 or 6 minutes later a server showed up and asked what we would like to drink. Two coffees, two waters, please. She said she would be right back. Another 5 or 6 minutes and she comes back with water, coffee, creamer, and no mugs. She said she would be right back with our mugs. Almost 10 minutes went by and we had watched her serve other tables close to us but she never even looked in our direction. When I saw her again, I called her over and asked for mugs. She said she would have them right out. A few minutes later someone else brought us mugs. The carafe had barely enough coffee for two mugs. Barely. It was cold. I was about ready to leave, but the wife said let's order. We ordered. We waited and waited and waited and finally, our meals were delivered. No butter on the waffles, no questions about is everything okay, no mention of would you like a refill of water or coffee. Just drop it off and disappear. The food was okay, nothing to brag about like IHOP was way back when. I did my best to get the attention of two other servers who walked right by our table hoping to get more coffee and water. Nope. No one wanted to do anything. An assistant manager showed up and asked if everything was okay. I just looked at her. I wanted to comment, but I kept my mouth shut because I was raised a gentleman. I asked my wife if she needed anything and she replied she was okay even though she wasn't happy with the way things were going either. I asked my wife if she thought I should leave a gratuity. I am not a cheapskate. If I get decent service I will normally leave anywhere from 15%-25% for the server. The wife said I should leave the minimum. Trust me, I didn't want to leave even a dime, but I did leave a dollar bill. In my opinion, that was $1 more than was deserved. Two bad experiences at this location means we won't go back. The first time we went it was bad, this was worse. The only way it seems to get anyone's attention these days is to hit them in the wallet and that is what I did. The bill was close to $40 for poor service, food that was just okay, and over an hour of our time wasted. No thank you IHOP. I can do without. I will find another mom and pop shop that has staff that knows the customer is important.

Pathetic expensive food..very small tasteless portions...would recommend not to waste your hard earned money..not worth it.

If you are a veteran or in the military, expect no respect! They no longer honor our families. Especially on veterans weekend. 10% seems to be too much for them to take off your ticket. Corporate, do better!

I wish there were a lower score than a 1. So many things wrong to count with our visit, and when we politely complained to a manager we were simply asked if we wanted to stay or not. No apology, no nothing. Walked across the lot to Texas Roadhouse and we quickly attended by a more friendlier staff. Save yourself the trouble. This iHop is a waste.

This location ignored my daughter after she placed a to go order. Even after she inquired about the order. Someone from the kitchen eventually brought order. Didn't say what was in the bag who it was for just passed the bag. The man that appeared to be in charge of desk looked over her several times and began to wait on others. Then ask her about her order after someone else had assisted. Provided no syrup or receipt in the bag. No receipt provided even upon request.
