My rating has fluctuated a lot with this company. Starting at a 5 during the initial sale process, everything went smoothly. However, after waiting months for my check, as many other reviewers have noted, and not getting an adequate response from the company the only recourse I had left was to file a compliant with the NY Attorney General. The process is simple, and IDoNowIDont seems to prioritize matters that are coming directly from the AG's office. Google "ny attorney general file complaint", and click through to the "consumer frauds and scams" page. Be sure to have any screenshots or interactions ready to submit as well as the proper timeline of events to report. I have landed on a 2 as I did eventually get my check, but it was quite the headache and probably not worth it in the end. However, if you can get a better price and are willing to deal with a bit of a delay it may be worth it to you.

Sold an engagement ring and sent it in on September 5th. Was told my check would be mailed out October 15th. I called and emailed them multiple times before I finally received my check on November 6th. If you don't plan on sending payments when advertised then don't advertise it. If you plan on getting your money back quickly or even when you're told that you will get it then I don't recommend using this website!

From the start, the website is hard to navigate, outdated. The seller commissions are extremely high. 20% for $500-$5,000 The lack of communication from the company is unacceptable for shipping off expensive jewelry and having to trust they are going to hold up on their end. The whole process from date of sale Sept 02,2018 to receiving the check in the mail 09/30/2018 I never received automatic updates on the status of my transaction. No tracking number sent for the check. The customer service emails are extremely unprofessional. Does not feel like they give a rats a- - about their customers experience. And if there are Jewish holidays, don’t expect them to send out an update about the gemologist lab being closed. Overall, I’d rather go to a pawn shop and be done with it. Horrible experience. Go somewhere else who is up to speed on how businesses should operate in 2018

I began this process skeptical as a seller. The diamond I was selling had been appraised two different times by reputable appraisers and both were extremely impressed with it. I posted it for sale and was getting offers at less than 25% the retail which I did not accept. Finally, I got an offer at 30% of the retail price and I relented and accepted. With much, much much hesitation I sent the ring. They came back 6 days later and the seller then offered me half the original offer because it appraised two levels below on color. Seriously, sorry,but I don't believe it. Delgatto makes a commission and they're trying to tell me my diamond is not as good as the professional claimed it was. Sorry, I'm not buying into that. I demanded my diamond be sent back and now I'm terrified that it won't be my original diamond. I'll never use a service like this again, too shady and you don't have any deposits or guarantees that your jewelery is safe. I'm hoping I get the same ring back and now will have to go and get it re-appraised to see if it is the same. I took tons of pics and so did the original appraiser. I hope I can recoup my losses. Never again.

I did the immediate offer through text message and they estimated $250-$300 for my wedding band with diamonds. I spent $25 to ship with insurance to them. Once they received it I got a direct offer of $100. I sent the text message picture informing them of my estimate. The lady responded with “it was lighter than we originally thought.” I also sent the paper appraisal through text and mail specifying everything to the “T” and they still want to make the excuse that they didnt know. Only good thing I experienced about this place was mailing my ring back fast.

I never got a call or email about my 'guaranteed offer' items. The shipping company they use makes it hard to track the delivery of your items because it's not directly through fed ex it's a third party company. The way their shipping is setup you can't hold an item for pickup... They have to call and do it for you. I was on hold ten minutes to speak with sometime... Then got disconnected only to call back and find that they are closed! I hope i can eventually pick up my ring.

I saw the advertisement on I Do Now I Don't for earning up to two times more. I'm not sure what their reference point is, but the offers I received (even with photos and GIA certification) through IDNID were significantly lower than selling direct to jewelers or even gold buyers. I ended up selling to an independent jeweler for $1,370. The only offers I received from IDNID after almost 3 weeks were for $900 and $700.
