DO NOT SEND JEWELRY TO "I DO NOW I DON'T"... they sold our ring in June and we have never received payment. They made excuses for months about cheque issuing that went wrong... It's all a lie. We will be filing fraud and theft charges today with the police. This site is a scam please don't get sucked in.

I am also having issues with payment
I am also having issues with payment. I have sold 5-6 items and only once was payment received in a timely fashion.
I recently sold a pair of earrings to a repeat customer. She received them on April 24 and it is now May 10th and I still haven't received payment.
Calling customer service is as much fun as having teeth pulled, so I only email now. 2 orders ago it took well over 30 days after the customer received the item, several emails and phone calls to get the check cut .
While this has great potential, it does not live to what it could be for sellers. I have no idea what it's like for a buyer, as they seem to get the products.

Sold my ring and never got paid!!!
I listed my 1 carat engagement ring with I Do Now I Don't in November of 2017. I didn't get any bites initially and decided to see what they would offer me with a direct offer. I considered it too low and had them ship the ring back and lowered the price a bit on their site and decided to be patient. Finally, in February, I decided to just go with the direct offer after no interest from the site, but before I could ship the ring back to them, someone had purchased it from the site. I contacted the company to tell them to scratch the direct offer, it sold online. They said no problem and I shipped my ring to them on February 13th. I received an email from the company 2 days later on February 15th telling me it was received for the direct offer, only I didn't accept the direct offer, since my ring sold on the site right before I was going to sell it to the company. I emailed them again to make sure they knew it had been sold to a customer online and they assured me that was correct and apologized for the confusing email about the direct offer. I've been waiting now almost a month to receive my check from the sale, as it is March 11th 2018 and I have no ring and no money. I've emailed 3 times to a customer service rep who initially was responsive when I told her I had not received my check and asked politely if she could check the status and let me know when to expect it. I've emailed her twice since and she is now ignoring me and I have no idea when of even IF I can expect to get the money promised. I have not yet contacted BBB, but if this does not get resolved soon, I will be calling them. What began as a good experience has turned out to be a nightmare. I no longer trust, nor would I ever recommend this company to anyone.

I would not trust this company
I would not trust this company. I sent my $15,500 diamond necklace to them for a direct offer and they only offered me $2000! I can get 2-3 times that much at Pawn America. The claims they make about receiving 1/2 to 3/4 of the value of your item is totally false. I listed it for 3/4 of the value or less and had no interest. They really pushed me to take a direct offer. Now I know why. They would make up to $10,000 off of me. I would not use this company. This is false advertising at its best. They need to be reported to the better business bureau.
Also in response to the companies post regarding my review, I would like the public to know that the omega chain that I had with the diamond was not purchased with my diamond. I purchased the diamond alone without any chain and had it set into a pendent. I sent I Do Now I Don't the ORIGINAL RECEIPT with my diamond showing the purchase price of over $15,000. They obviously try to discredit everything you say when they don't get the review they want. Their email also says they will reply with a direct offer in 24-48 hours. Right, try 7 days! I had to call them twice to find out what was going on. Better results with Pawn America and that is where I will go.
Response from I DO NOW I DON"TMay 23, 2017
We typically do not respond to reviews, but in the spirit of fairness and accuracy we feel compelled to answer this one.
Our company is well established as a leader in the secondary market for diamonds and jewelry. Our reputation is built on tens of thousands of interactions and it's a fact that sellers frequently garner between 50-75% of the retail pricing by using our online marketplace. When someone lists an item at or above retail, as was the case here, we cannot help when little buy interest in shown.
Additionally, when the seller submitted her item to us for a direct offer, she did not submit the large gold necklace that accompanies it. She only inquired about the diamond pendant. Regarding our direct offer, we pride ourselves on making the highest offers possible. To illustrate that point, the full retail price of an exactly comparable diamond (both the seller's and comparable diamonds are certified) on Blue Nile retails around $7,000- $7,500. The seller states that they have an offer even above what the retailer is selling it for.

Absolutely heartbreaking experience …
Absolutely heartbreaking experience. I described my diamond to them and received an approximate value for a direct offer and well as a range to list the ring on their site. I got a reasonable estimate that matched estimates I've heard before (much less than the retail and appraised prices but that is to be expected) so I listed the ring in the middle of the estimated price range and then sent the ring to them with their prepaid label for the official appraisal, figuring that if the ring did not sell before the official appraisal came in that I would just except the official appraisal and be done with it. I was selling the ring because I really needed the money for my son's tuition and rent. It was clear in my description of the ring in the shape of the diamonds. I received an email earlier today stating they read my email wrong and all the estimates are based on a different shape ring and they wouldn't be able to come anywhere close to what the estimated price and actually less than half of the estimate. Extremely devastating especially since I was very clear about the shape of the ring. Filing a complaint with BBB.

Horrible Experience
Went to this website on recommendation from a jewelry store that in which my wedding ring was purchased from. They told me I would get a higher offer from this website than a pawn shop. They were 100% wrong! I got a direct offer of $250 for a $7000-8000 ring. The pawn shops actually offered me more.... $850-1000. It took over 3 weeks to get a response from anyone and when I finally did 2 different people contacted me with 2 different price points for a direct offer and marketplace value. Also, don't bother contacting the 800 number listed. All you get is a snotty female who tells you to just wait for an email. One of the customer care reps also admitted for direct offer prices they go off of popularity of the style you have combined with selling prices for that "type" of jewelry for an average of 9 years of sales. Folks, you are getting an average on past pricing history. NOT getting an offer based on current selling value in a current market. They are not denoting value based on current gold/diamond prices as they should be. No help at all. TOTAL waste of time!
Response from I DO NOW I DON"TMay 9, 2016
As the customer said she was recommend to us by a jewelry store as we have a great reputation and help the customer get the most for their items. Customers estimate was based on info she emailed us. The company never saw the ring in person and based the offer on past data of what these rings have been selling for in the past and what they currently sell for. We recommended she list the ring on the website to get the most money for it. Currently on the website similar rings are selling for $1000 to $1500 which is what we recommenced she list the item for to get the most money for it.

I'll Call it a Lesson Learned
Communication was fast and friendly until I sent them my ring for a direct offer. Then the offer was $100 less than the lowest price in the range they'd previously stated, with no explanation. They then emailed to say they could add only $25 more to the offer. When the check arrived, it was not for the full amount agreed to. I thought this was just a mistake and emailed about it. I've now emailed twice, and received no response at all. It's a great scam, really. Who will bother suing you over $25.00? Do this to 100 customers and you've made $2500. Do it to 1000 customers and you make $25,000. Sellers beware of this company.

Poor customer service
Their website is misleading. They want more than just a brief description. If you are not one of those savvy people who understands clarity or the things they need to know then they will not help you. Really disappointed because I've heard such good things..
