Icons Of ManhattanReviews of iconsofmanhattan.com

The shopping experience and descriptions of each chair was so pleasant and helpful! The website is so clean and easy to navigate. I’m so happy I found this brand! Shipping seems super quick and I love the value I’m getting with the sale!!

Great sale with cross marketing! Smooth transaction!

Bought two of the Premium Style Brown Leather Office Chairs both have issues with the hydraulics and both randomly will sink down. Customer Service sent a replacement part that I could not get to work and refused to offer a refund or discount.

Exasperating experience with this vendor - as some other reviews indicate, don't expect customer service to handle issues expeditiously. Some red flags: the website only sells chairs. However their Instagram page showcases items that give the impression they sell other products. The “extended sale” promotion is a gimmic: as far as I can tell, this sale has been going on for months. The chairs are from China. Be cautious when reading the reviews on Trustpilot – caught some reviews mentioning they were incentivized if they left a review for the company.

In November 2022, I purchased the Soft Pad Chair for my home office. After 5 months of gentle use, the seat cushion had lost it's shape, part of the 'chrome' began to break apart, and the hydraulic randomly decides to lower the seat. In general, the chair was failing. I contact Icons of Manhattan to see what they could do. I was told by customer service that there was nothing they could do since the issues with my chair were past 30 days from the purchase... 30 days! I've bought pieces of clothing that have a longer guarantee than this expensive chair. So, I let the customer service representative know how disappointed I was to receive their response and that I would be writing a review of my experience. The customer service rep then responded offering to refund 10% of my purchase... Maybe they thought I would be happy with a broken chair and $25 back from my original payment of $250? This small partial refund was both insulting and felt like I was being paid to not write a negative review. In summary, I do not recommend this product. If you're looking for a decent office chair, I suggest one that will not break from light use like Icons of Manhattan's chair has. Lastly, you can sometimes find resale of true Eames chairs on used furniture websites for similar prices as these imitations.

Disappointed with product. Ordered four chairs, they came relatively timely. I received two of the four so far. First, the chairs do not come in two parts like the website FAQ alleges. You need to build these chairs fully. From the wheels to the hand rails. It did not take long but was still lied to. I would not have purchased but I relied on this. The fake leather (I knew it was not genuine leather) has a smell, may go away but not a good smell. The rating says 300 lbs, the second reason I purchased. It is for guests and a precaution. I do not know this but I would not sit on this chair if I weighed over 225. The chairs are much smaller and look worse than the photos. They are adequate in comfort. I am 6'2 190 lbs. Due to hassle will not return but strongly advise against purchasing from this company.

CAUTION THEIR PRODUCTS ARE JUNK, the chair I received was very low quality, came in a crappy box labeled MADE IN CHINA, within a few days the gas "spring" started to just randomly lower with out me adjusting the height, also they chair seemed crooked and the wheels did not roll smoothly. I reached out and they expect you to jump through many hoops to prove to them that their product is junk. They did send a replacement gas spring but the chair was not able to come apart. At this point I just wanted a refund so I asked the person I was corresponding with how to proceed with that, they then offered to send me a different chair which I declined because who wants another poorly built chair. All correspondence at that point stopped and I had to call the company a week later to ask about a refund, at that point they tried to haggle a 25% refund then a 50% refund then they stopped there, they still were throwing out the offer to send another chair which I declined. For a refund they want you to pay return shipping, which is going to be extremely difficult since the chair cant come apart easily, it felt like it was goin to break when I attempted to replace the gas spring. It really makes no sense to me why the would be willing to send me a whole new chair instead of just sending the refund. The girl basically let me know that they couldn't do anymore for me then a 50% refund or send me a new chair. At that point I let her know that I would be contacting my credit card company and disputing the charges as fraud since they describe the chairs as being high quality but they send you a junky chair, they might even be drop shipping these from some crappy manufacture based on the packaging I received. Within 5 minutes of hanging up on the girl I was talking to I get a text stating that they sent a refund and an email saying "don’t spend it all at one place :) " BUYER BEWARE THIS IS A SCUMMY COMPANY OPERATED BY LOW LIFE PEOPLE SELLING CHINESE CRAP

I was suspicous when I made the purchase because the website had signs of being fake. I was wrong - I got the chair in about 2-3 weeks. What you see is what you get. Really happy with the purchase for the price. The leather is definitely not real and had a "dry" look and feel to it. I rubbed lightly some olive oil on it and now it looks great! Overall happy with the purchase. Reason I gave it four stars is the bottom pad (low padded chair) was placed on with velcro, wish it was zipped on instead.
