Hyundai’s warranty sounds impressive…
Hyundai’s warranty sounds impressive But its Not True ... when you’re buying the vehicle, but in my experience, it has felt useless when I actually need help. There always seems to be another charge, and getting meaningful assistance from a dealership is a struggle. Being told diagnostic fees can be $250 or more—even when the concern may be related to a recall—makes those warranty promises feel empty. Berman Hyundai in Lincolnwood scheduled an appointment for two recalls on my 2024 Palisade. I arrived on time, only to be told neither repair could be completed: one part was backordered, and the company handling the other repair had canceled earlier that morning. Nobody called to notify me before I arrived. When I asked about leaving the vehicle, they could not provide transportation home. They wasted my time, disrupted my day, and left the recalls unresolved, including a seatbelt safety concern. A warranty means very little to me if getting help involves extra charges, delays, and dealerships unwilling to resolve the problem. This experience has destroyed my confidence in Hyundai. I will never buy another Hyundai.
