I will never go back to the old traditional way of feeding. Houndsy makes feeding easier, helps keep the area cleaner, looks better than the old bag-and-scoop setup. Feeding 2 Great Danes is a mess and they are messy, however with Houndsy the mess is contained. Each Dane eats and drinks on Houndsy mat with water bowl and food dispenser, so there are no more messes all over the floor. I too originally felt this dispenser was a little expensive just to feed my dogs, however after investing into Houndsy I will never go back!

Love my Houndsy kibble dispensers! Have had two since the Kickstarter days. Well built and beautiful, they make feeding my dogs so easy.

I love my houndsy! I was sick of looking at my dog's food bag in my otherwise neat and orderly pantry. The houndsy looks sleek and dispenses the exact amount of food I need for each meal. I love that I can still take the food and place in a slow feeder. My dog can easily eat directly from the houndsy bowl as well. The houndsy was easy to set up and the lever is super easy to use! My dog also can't get in to the houndsy so I do not worry about her getting in to her food. I get compliments on the design all the time! The product is super high quality. Would definitely recommend :)

I recently bought 2 standup kibble dispensers, 2 mats and received 2 water dishes free of charge. I originally ordered 2 cup bowls and realized that, that was too much food for a single serving for my dogs. So I ordered 2x 1 cup bowls. Fast forward a few days later I got an email stating that if you ever need a different sized bowl they would ship them free of charge. Since I hadn’t yet received my newest order, I sent an email asking about a refund or discount on my last order. No questions asked, no back and forth, within 24hrs I was refunded my entire amount for the additional bowls plus shipping costs. This folks is customer service. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice dog food dispenser vs regulars dog dishes. They hold the food and dispenser the proper amount of food each and every serving. 10/10 product, customer service, and company. ~Chris

I spent $291.10 on my Houndsy order. When I originally received my order confirmation, I was told it could take up to 5 weeks to arrive, which is already an unbelievable fulfillment timeline for a product at this price point. After waiting weeks for my order, a screw literally fell out of the kibble dispenser the DAY AFTER I received it. The lever then stopped working properly and the dispenser began malfunctioning. I immediately contacted Houndsy, sent pictures of the screw, explained the issue, and requested a refund. They sent me a prepaid return label but told me to find my own box large enough to safely ship this huge dispenser back. I explained that I don’t have a box that size and asked them to provide a reasonable way to return their defective product. Then they stopped responding. I followed up again and even offered another solution by asking whether they could simply exchange the defective dispenser instead. I asked how long a replacement would take and when I could expect the rest of my order. Still no response. Meanwhile, I STILL have not received the water bowl that was included with my original order. So after spending nearly $300, I waited weeks for my order, received a dispenser that started physically falling apart within 24 hours, never received another item that was supposed to be included, and now can’t even get customer service to respond and resolve the issue. The idea behind the product is great. Unfortunately, my actual experience with the product and the company has been garbage. Save your money. For nearly $300, this level of product quality, fulfillment, and customer service is unacceptable. I absolutely would not recommend Houndsy.

I bought this dispenser looking for a clean, efficient way to manage daily feeding for my German Shepherd, but after putting it to work, I completely regret the purchase given the steep price tag. For what this cost, I expected a highly rugged piece of hardware, but the entire housing relies on thin, cheap-feeling plastic that flexes far too easily under normal use. The main lever mechanism feels clunky rather than fluid, snagging slightly on the internal tracking whenever I pull it down to drop a meal. My biggest issue is the overall capacity of the feeding station; even at the maximum setting, the included bowl is entirely too small for a large breed, requiring me to manually cycle the handle multiple times just to get a proper portion out for a powerful dog. I was filling it up in my kitchen yesterday morning before heading to the gym and found myself frustrated by how much space it takes up compared to the sub-par utility it offers. It might work fine if you are feeding a smaller pet, but if you own a larger breed and expect premium, heavy-duty durability, this unit simply does not justify the investment.

The product works well. But it's a cheap feeling plastic. I even got the "nice" furniture series but it in no way lives up to that name. Go ahead and get this if you can hide it somewhere. But if it's in sight and you have an even half way nice room...I'd think twice.
