scam!!! they didn't pay. it's been 1 years since my orders was completed but still didn't receive anything
Response from Hoopla DooplaMay 18, 2025
We pay our members quarterly, based on transactions in their account that have cleared 90 days. If you have transactions that have met this criteria, and your balance is above our minimum payment threshold, your cleared balance will be paid out at our next pay period.
In addition, please make sure your payment information is up to date in your account at all times. We wouldn't want you to miss out on your cash back. :)
See payment schedule below.

SCAM don't use
I've used several portals over time and have earned thousands of dollars, but this one is by far the worst—if not the absolute worst. To start, their customer support is a joke. There’s a person named Frank who responds to your message once, then completely ignores any follow-up responses.
Additionally, the portal shows that payments were made to me, yet I haven't received a single cent. I've sent at least 10 messages (since they don’t respond to emails) asking for transaction IDs and the Venmo account details where payments were supposedly sent. Frank continues to play dumb and has failed to provide any useful information.
Extremely frustrating experience, and I would strongly advise against using this portal.
Response from Hoopla DooplaMar 17, 2025
Hi Tony. Sorry to hear you had this experience with us. Venmo payments sometimes go to members PayPal accounts, being PayPal owns Venmo. I see Frank communicated this with you, as well as gave you or recipient email address to check with Venmo. I will have Frank keep the ticket open until resolved. :)

Scam
Scam. They only pay out about 1/10th the payable cash back amount you earned. I thought this was a waiting period issue since they only pay out quarterly, however, they blatantly refused payout and kept 9/10s of earnings after almost a year. F*** them.
Response from Hoopla DooplaFeb 9, 2025
Hi Andrew. As stated in our Terms of Use, we pay our members quarterly the transactions in their account that have cleared 90 days since the purchase date. The rest of the money stays in your account until it has cleared another 90 days. This is a rule of the merchants we are partnered with, not us, because they monitor things like fraud, returns and exchanges, and more, which can result in the commissions paid to us being revered. Over the course of time, all the money in your account is eventually paid out to you. :)

Scam
Scam, orders never being tracked and even after claiming "missing cash back" they decline it. Never use this scam service.
Response from Hoopla DooplaFeb 9, 2025
Hi Stamford. If your cash back was declined, we have submitted a reason and notified you of it through our customer support system. There are many reasons cash back can be declined to you, as stated in our terms and conditions. Returns or exchanges on orders, our website not being the final click you make before the purchase, and more. If you wish to further discuss, you can contact our support team for further details. :)

I've had 11 times duplicated payments…
I've had 11 times duplicated payments of 100 Euros each on my bank account for a Rosetta Stone Deal, with no customer support or whoever contacting me back, I needed to shut the used card from the bank in order to stop the losses,
Response from Hoopla DooplaJan 24, 2025
Mahdi, we are sorry to hear about this activity in your bank account. Unfortunately, this is not an issue on our end. You will need to contact Rosetta Stone and resolve this with them and your bank. Good luck. :)

I have lost faith and confidence in…
I have lost faith and confidence in Hoopla Doopla and would encourage others to look elsewhere.
Their customer support responses state they will issue a check every quarter after the transactions have cleared 90 days and are above the minimum payment threshold with valid payment information on file. Despite meeting all these requirements, they continue to withhold payments that are over 300 days old.
As of this writing, November 12th, 2024, here are my transactions totals by date marked as CONFIRMED
Jan 4, 2024: $83.90
Feb 2, 2024: $43.28
Feb 15, 2024: $72.29
Mar 22, 2024: $29.26
Apr 18, 2024: $22.17
Apr 19, 2024: $86.55
Apr 23, 2024: $9.57
Apr 25, 2024: $60.66
May 10, 2024: $189.70
May 12, 2024: $2.92
May 27, 2024: $26.86
Grand Total: $627.16
I have reached out in good faith to try to resolve the issue, but customer support is dismissive and insists they will pay out next cycle which they have not for the 3 pay cycles I’ve poked them.
If it’s marked as confirmed in their system and over the 90 day period, then I’ve fulfilled my obligations and should be paid out.
Since they are not paying out, I can only assume they are acting in bad faith at best or intentionally withholding funds at worst. Regardless, I have waited an excessive amount of time and am out of patience. I no longer have confidence in the platform and will not continue to add transactions that will never pay out.
Edit in response to Hoopla's reply from 11/20/2024:
The oldest transaction is 321 days old as of this writing, that is well beyond 90 days. Furthermore, its marked as confirmed on my end, which I can only interpret as everything is valid and should be paid out. I have no way of knowing or telling if that rare instance is playing out and Hoopla took no proactive actions on their end to tell me as such either. I had to be the one to advocate for myself and poke them about it.
The lack of communication is unacceptable. Customer support gave evasive answers and did not specify the amounts that would be paid and on what payment cycle which lead to 2-3 payment cycles of non payment before they no longer had the benefit of the doubt.
Hoopla continues to refuse to pay out on confirmed transactions over 300 days old rather than save face and keep a customer. Let this be a warning to everyone else that they have no interest in resolving the issue or providing a pathway to a resolution. Do not risk building up transactions that will not pay out even if it’s confirmed.
Response from Hoopla DooplaNov 20, 2024
As stated in the FAQ's on our site, we pay our members quarterly, based on transactions in their account that have cleared 90 days. In some rare instances, our merchants are delayed in paying us commissions, which can delay payments to members. When this occurs, we let our members know that their payments will be delayed for this reason, so the member knows the delay is on the merchants end, not ours. As these transactions are paid to us, they are paid out to you. As stated, some merchants are delayed in paying the commissions to us.

Hi Amanda...This review does not apply to our company, as we did not withdraw any funds from your bank account. We do not store bank account information on our site, nor do we deal with video games. if you could retract this review we would appreciate it, and good luck in finding the company who withdrew your funds. :)

Read other neg views, stay away!
We realised we've just become the latest victim of this company after reading a string of neg experiences expressed here by other users. Please read them; the denial, delay and ultimately nonresponsive cs are all too familiar to us. If you read their cs reply here, it's one of those 3 tactics they've used. They missed the most recent payment date July 31 and then pushed it back to August 15, which again was a miss. Supposedly there was payment April 31, which did not come. Some of the cashbacks from 2022 were not issued in 2023 when there was more than 5, which was their minimum payment requirement. Specific inquiries were not addressed. They will only refer you to their faq's in their email replies (and only when they wanted to reply), which was not the least helpful. Only one person is handling their cs, someone named frank. It's curious that one of the positive views April2 2024 was written by the same named person. Not all email inquiries will be replied to. He arbitrarily chose which email and which questions to reply to. But since he's the only one handling cs email, there's no escalating the issue up the chain.
If you see the way a company rep's reply attitude towards customers written complaints is uniformly: deflect, deny or even admonish, as shown here to many others, instead of offering apology and remedies, that's a big red sign saying: Stay away.

We pay our members quarterly, based on transactions in their account that have cleared 90 days. If a member has transactions that have met this criteria, and their balance is above our minimum payment threshold, their cleared balance will be paid out at our next pay period. This is is complying with our merchants terms, to allow for returns and potential fraudulent orders.
In addition, all members must make sure your payment information is up to date in their account at all times.
