I have rated HWS a 3 as the service is mixed. I have one person who I work with who will often say they tried calling me back. However, I've received no missed calls or voicemail. The same is true with not replying to emails. We also had to fight with the state and the federal because the payments that were supposed to be applied on our behalf, weren't done correctly. Three quarters. We also got fined. While we did get help resolving the issue, I had to spend hours trying to figure it out and the returns from our return that was held and applied came back in dribs and drabs and I'm not sure if it ever was all returned. Finally, now the state department of revenue has set up a savings program for employees that is supposed to be withheld and deposited so the state can invest it in the retirement tool of the employee's choice. The state has connected directly with HWS. At this point, I have not seen the money withheld from the employee paychecks. The good thing is that checks are mailed or deposited on time. I feel like the help I do get is cordial and apologetic when there has been a problem. I like that this is a small business that works with small businesses.

I think you should send out the email with cash requirements sooner (3-4 days before it is due) not the night before!

Website is lacking. We have been trying to get our password reset for a while. Relationship with 3rd-party provider is confusing. On the other hand, caregivers have been paid consistently with no complaint so far (>1 year). Here's hoping all the taxes have been handled properly.

Good, pretty rigid policies that can cost you more than you get. Feel safe that I am compliant though and legal on all my nanny dealings.

It was hard to set an account at the beginning; there were few miscommunications and reminders.

Nice interface and easy enrollment. Made multiple mistakes on taxes though and most glaringly forgot to pay our employee once! The missed payment was not even recognized until we contacted them.

The year end process was very confusing as we received a number of updated information that should have been final when we received the notice to pull our information. The direction provided for what forms to pull and their location was not straightforward and left room for us to misinterpret what we needed to complete and retrieve.

I was happy and pleased to work with the staff, especially Luz Rodriguez. She helped me keep track of payroll dates and assisted me several times to resolve some issues. That being said, I did have problems between payroll due dates and dates needed by Homework Solutions to submit to the bank. That info was not presented clearly. The payroll dates on the calendar were too small for seniors and disabled people to read. I mentioned this several times, nothing was corrected. The Support at Home staff finally corrected this for clients. Additionally, I did not KNOW the option of sending hours by e-mail, or getting e-mail reminders until I asked about it. This option should be stated in the introduction, as phones lines are often busy when reporting hours. Given the inherent difficulty of the elderly and disabled, it is imperative that you listen to feedback so you can better serve the needs of this community.Thank you for asking for this feedback.
