Not a great service.
Not a great service. 1. Sometimes they pay the government late. 2. They are not that helpful at tax time (just provide forms, no instructions or TurboTax integration or anything) 3. They raise their prices and don't make it easy to see how much money you are paying them and how much money goes to the government. 4. If you ask to leave, they remind you that they might close down your business since they have all your numbers. So, you are kind of stuck with them until you no longer have an employee and don't care what they do to your setup.

Andrew- I'm sorry to learn that you have been disappointed with our service, and we want to make it right. Please give us a call to discuss your concerns in detail as we want understand what miscommunication led to you having such a bad experience. This simply is not the normal for our clients. To address your concerns generally: We guarantee our work, so in the rare cases when we do make a mistake like a late payment, we pay any penalties and interest and do the legwork to get your account caught up. We even deal with the tax agencies on your behalf to clear up processing mistakes on their end, which happen more often than one might imagine. We believe our prices are fair for the expertise and concierge-level service we offer, and we have raised them once (by only 5%) in the past 6 years. We are transparent about pricing and you see your fees listed clearly on the documentation of the first payroll processed each quarter. We have been guiding household employers through the complexities of payroll and taxes for nearly 30 years, and we have a highly trained staff ready to answer all of your questions. When you call us you talk to a real person, not a phone tree, and we'll assign a dedicated payroll representative to your account, many of whom have been working with their clients for years! We make all of your tax documents available to you in your secure eFiling Cabinet, and there is a link at the top of that page providing instructions for filing the forms, either in paper copy or with tax software such as TurboTax. When a client tells us they would like to close an account, we ask if you would like us to do the work of closing your tax accounts. This is optional, as you may be choosing to take over the filing yourself or moving to another payroll provider. But we never threaten to close your accounts as a tactic to retain business. If that happened to you, first I apologize, and second, I want to know about it so I can address it with any team member who acted in that manner. That is simply not who we are. Again, I am very sorry you had a bad experience and I hope you will give us an opportunity to make it right.
