We purchased multiple items and the initial portion was awesome, however, 1 piece was on back order and took several months to get. 1 month of the time was spent at the delivery agent and they were a nightmare to deal with. The tool they gave you to ask questions allowed you to put information in, but once you hit submit it just gave the wheel of death. This second delivery was horrible.

I love the 36 inch Forno Massimo electric stove that I received, you would’ve got five stars if the shipping company you guys use wasn’t so terrible. It ruined my whole delivery experience.

After following through with giving me my refund I have updated my review to 3 stars. Sal was a huge help and due to his customer support I agreed to update this review.

Customer service was terrible. I was told I would be given a call back for over a week straight. I was expecting my appliances a month before I received them. Home outlet direct kept telling me they are reaching out but I reached out directly and got answers before they did. I will never buy from home outlet direct again.

Our Forno range came without some of the parts and 2 broken large burners (we didn't know the burners were broken until the installer was trying to hook them up). Home Outlet Direct said the parts weren't available, so they would send a new unit. The only problem was, they would not give us a credit for the installation charge we already paid. They said "I'm afraid Forno could not cover any installation fee, this is one reason we discourage the assembly and installation of the unit." How am I supposed to know if the unit is defective until I get it installed? What if I get a new unit and it is broken? Then I'm out another installation fee and another trip fee from an installer and still have a broken range. I would not recommend this company (or Forno), they do not stand behind the products they are selling. Edit: The manager Sal called me and tried to help me resolve the issue. It would have been much more helpful if the employees went to the managers to resolve issues when they come up, I probably would have gotten a replacement with this company. He offered me a different stove, but the lead time was 2-3 weeks. I could order the same stove from Lowes and have it in 5 days with installation (HOD doesn't have options for that). I proceeded with a refund and purchased elsewhere, but I appreciated the manager reaching out.

very marginal customer service, they feel that once the sale is done, they no longer have any resposibility to the customer satisfaction and see it all the way thru including delivery

They did what they had to do with the circumstances of the supply chain problems. I'm happy with the appliances even though it took 3 months to get them. I'm sure they would be 5 star without the supply chain problem and covid.

The only reason I give Home Outlet Direct a 3 star rating is that they pretty much lie by omission concerning returns. Since we are all now relegated to buying a lot more things online, it has become clear that shipping large bulky items is an issue since they are not packaged to ride around in a truck for 2,000 miles. I read the return policy and it basically said that if a product was damaged, takes pictures of it and email them to the company and they would repair or replace. The bill of lading on the merchandise I received told a very different story -- 20% restocking fee and ship back at my expense. Luckily my order arrived pretty much intact, but it would be nice if manufacturers would start packaging items more securely and for single shipment. It would also be nice if online retailers were up front about their return policies.
