Horrible, stressful experience! Rude "agents" attempt to push sellers into poor contracts with low offers. They insult the sellers and accuse them of being uncooperative. Very time consuming to sell a home this way, since buying agents call the seller due to HomeBay being unreachable. Unprofessional all the way. They break their own contract. Professional photos sucked, my own sold the home after they were fired.

Listing and viewing was fine. Offer came in and was accepted. Then the wheels fell off the cart. No responses on phone calls. Home Bay wouldn't respond to buyers requests. I had to take calls from buyers agent and mortgage broker. I couldn't reach anyone House was supposed to close last week but I don't think it will close for a week.

I like what they are doing, but I recommend escalating if your agent is unresponsive. The agent I was assigned frequently thought I was someone else. Additionally, the buyers agent had a very hard time getting in touch with her. We almost delayed closing because of it. Again, I like what homebay is trying to do, but this will truly be more of a hands on experience. If I could do it all over again, I would still choose homebay.

As all the commerce is moving online nowadays, so is the home sales. For 1% commission I got all guidance to plan, prepare, and execute a sale of my house. Everything was pretty much straightforward, and my questions was thoroughly answered. Be aware of the fact that you still have to pay the buyers commission, and there is 90 days contract with Homebay. The house is sold and we are happy!
