My family of 5 stayed in the 1905E penthouse expecting a penthouse worthy experience. We got much less than bargained for from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. and their broken down excuse of a luxury rental. Normally I don't sweat the "small stuff" but this was just too much...wait until you hear about the beach service. The rooms and living spaces are beautiful, The view from the balcony is spectacular, just as in the pictures. What the pictures don't show is the damage that has been done to the place and not fixed. Here is the list: In the upstairs bedroom, one of the four wooden posts on the 4 post bed has broken off at mattress level and lying on the floor. Same bedroom has a closet door with a 5" hole in it. There was spackle and tape on the door and floor where some nitwit tried to hastily patch it and left a mess. Same bedroom, the armoire door wont stay open. There is scotch tape all over the wall where previous tenants have worked out their own fix. (bring a wedge to shove in there if you want to watch TV). Same bedroom, the cable box is blinking and non functional. The Master on the Main was slightly less gruesome with only 3 broken items; Bedside table door is hanging off the hinges, the screen door to the balcony is jammed and will not close and a decorative wooden clock that was once very pretty sits forlorn with the main finial broken off and lying loose. The light over the toilet is non-functional also. The table lamp in the main living room is non functional as well as the light in the vent hood over the stove. Bring your own lightbulbs if you want enlightenment at this place. The kitchen is stocked with the bare minimum so bring your own shrimp deveiners and corn scrubbers if you want to cook your own shrimp boil. Coffee maker gives a nice dose of coffee grounds in your cup, needs to be replaced. The kitchen sink spigot is missing the hand knob. Be careful as you grab the metal threaded stump to access the water, its sharp! And guess what, all of that is not even the worst part!. Do not expect beach service from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. The room is rented by Holiday Isle Properties, Inc and they actually have no idea how the beach service at Silver Beach Towers works. We called them from the third tier beach chairs for an explanation and they stammered and replied "I don't know!". Let me explain because this is EXACTLY why you cant rent this place or rent from Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. The actual beach service is run by the SBT beach service subcontractor. You need to get information about reservations from them. The 'third tier' is the third row of beach chairs away from the water. There is no breeze there, there is no view there, there is sand and heat there. So we go from the penthouse to the back row at the beach everyday because we were not informed by Holiday Isle Properties, Inc. They will tell you to check with the beach service when you arrive. Don't listen to them. I've been coming to Destin for years now and this is the absolute worse experience I have had. Be warned, Holiday Isle Properties, Inc doesn't care.

We have stayed at sandpiper cove multiple times with no issues whatsoever. This time we decided to rent a studio 8246 for a few days. Along with the price increase there were many issues with this unit. Within 10 minutes of walking in the floors were disgusting, but who could see to clean them because there is 4 small lights that do nothing. While trying to sleep on a brick for a mattress the condensation from the ac drips onto your head. This is not a quiet place to sleep, the freezer makes a loud noise while dumping ice all though the night, the toilet constantly runs water through and is very loud. Overall this is the worst stay I’ve ever had at holiday isle.

We have rented at Seacrest Condominium on Okaloosa Island for at least 15 years and have never had any issues with the prior management company. Holiday Isle took over this past year and it seemed like we had issues every day. Parking was a disaster, water quit working one day with no advanced warning from management, the units didn’t seem as well kept as normal and I could go on. The prices of the units have increased tremendously with little to no upkeep to the property, other than keypad entry. We hate to look elsewhere for places to stay but after the experience this year, I think it’s time for a change. We were in Unit 701AB, we had family in 501AB, and in 406. We come as a large group and generally rent several units and this year under Holiday Isle management, we all were disappointed!

I have rented at Seacrest on Okaloosa Island for 15 years and loved it. Holiday Isle Properties took over last year and it was a nightmare. The air conditioning went out the first week and was not fixed until the last 2 days of our monthly stay. The price has now tripled from last year and I have been unable to get a reply from Holiday Isle by email or phone to see if they are even offering monthly rates. Needless to say I have found another property to rent.

Our room was way to hot . and the ocean was having work done on it and the water smelled and was terrible

We had an unpleasant experience with Holiday Isle Properties this time. Because Holiday Isle Properties failed to collect all keys from the previous occupant, our unit was entered by the previous occupants after we checked in! It made for a tense few minutes. We are not sure why these people returned to the unit, but we got them to leave, confiscated their key, and insisted upon having the locks changed. There were also many things missing from the unit, and we had to have it restocked with things like silverware and wine glasses. Once all that was taken care of, we had a good visit and enjoyed the unit and dock slip. All this could have been avoided if a keypad lock had been used, with the combination changed for each new guest.

We had a hurricane come in on both or our trips last year. We had to leave two days early on both trips. They never offered to give my money back or to replace my days. That sucks 🌲🌲

My husband and I have stayed at the Pelican before and love it, but will never rent this condo again or rent from this company again. The floors were dirty as well as several utensils. The refrigerator was ridiculously old. The door on one of the showers didn’t even close! This had obviously been going on a while, with water leaking because there was black mold in that bathroom! When we checked in with the rental property office, the girl told us we got our parking pass from the guard shack and didn’t need to check in at the front desk....wrong! The guard in the guard shack was confused and directed us to checking in at the front desk. So....we had to check in two places! After driving 12 hours, we didn’t appreciate the confusion! Love the Pelican, but not this property. The view wasn’t worth it! We’ve stayed in the 17th floor before, with awesome view. We checked in once with no confusion. This condo is not recommended by us!
