I’m reading through these recent reviews and I have to say it’s like I’m living the last two days of a nightmare that I had with the reservation people all over again. I was told when I was manipulated into buying into this “promotional” vacation package that it would be so simple and easy to book the vacation. Well it has not been, it has been a nightmare! I asked to speak with a manager several times yesterday and the lady on the phone told me that I didn’t have a valid reason to be put through to a manager! I’ve never in my life have had a person on the phone when I’m calling into a company with concerns that I have, that my reasoning wasn’t valid enough in her opinion to speak with a manager. I think it’s time that we come together and start a class action lawsuit against the holiday inn vacation club aspect of this company. Nothing but a scam and liars! I reached out to a lawyer yesterday because at this point I just want my $279 refunded to me, but seriously if anyone else is reading my review I believe a class action lawsuit maybe be the next step and the way to go. Then maybe this company will start being up front and honest instead of scamming everyday hard working people that would like a small break from their everyday lives by going on a nice getaway.

What didn't go wrong?? we went for a presentation in Lake Tahoe, NV. First the resort is very remote, you can get a bus down a few times a day but noting to eat at the top except a small sandwich shop in one building. The hot tubs were nasty. I would not bath my dog in them. the sales pitch was supposed to be 1.5 hours, 3 hours laters we are worn out and agreed to the lowest program we could get. then i sent in the buyers remorse letter, signed within 5 days but couldn't mail until Monday morning, 7 days they say. the paperwork never said "post marked" within 5 days. I contacted them and they said "too bad" you signed the documents, you owe us $12,000 to get out of this!! Really, 2 days is $12,000?? I've reported them to the BBB and am still fighting. DO NOT ever buy a time share, there are much better alternatives at better prices at better places. HICV sucks.

Complete and total scam... Got a call for a survey for IHG rewards members. I went through it and then they told me they had an exclusive promotion for me for 4 days 3 nights of a free resort stay at any location in the country. I asked what the catch was, and I was told there wasn't one, "We're just trying to show rewards members how much we care for them!" Well, I paid the $200 with the promise that I would get my money back (I was not told I would be getting the money back until after a timeshare presentation) and immediately realized that it was a timeshare program after I got the confirmation email. Tried getting a refund and they were not going to let me until I told them I had drafted a letter to my MO representative and Attorney General. They then changed their tone a bit and put me on with a supervisor. She agreed that I was misled by the original salesperson and agreed to a refund. Very nice lady and I have no bad blood with her, but this entire company is very shady. Don't be fooled, because I never will be again!

I normally don't stay on the phone after booking a reservation to listen to package deals for resorts but when I recently made a reservation last year they ask if I would wait on the phone and just listen, so I did and end up giving them my money for a resort package deal. Today I try to make a reservation for our children spring break vacation, they made the reservation and told me after I requested to be on the beach that we will have a hotel on the beach in Myrtle Beach however when I received my confirmation I decided to check the location just to find out it was nowhere near a beach, when I call them back to get it corrected the young lady explains to me that she have no idea what happened and why the hotel changed. I have not been able to reach them to get this corrected for the last hour I have been on hold and transferred to so many different people and they still have not fixed the problem I do not recommend this company it is totally unacceptable the experience I've had and they have my money and I can't get it back right now I don't even know if I will get it back. Stay away do not purchase from these people I believe that it is a scam.

I wish I had done my homework on this company before purchasing. I have not even been able to book one single vacation with them. They lie. They are incompetent. They are unprofessional. Apparently, the best experience will be with the salesperson on that first day. After that, trying to call them and get assistance is impossible. No one gives you correct information or even knows what they are talking about. When you request to speak to a supervisor, they will not let you. They are scammers. Please do NOT waste your money.

Zero stars if possible. The date of this review is today. The experience is a 5 year nightmare. Calls to "QA" - never returned. 12 documented witnessed lies by salesperson - reported to company and denied. Fraudulent claims regarding membership upgrade by salesperson (Internet access blocked so impossible to verify claims. Company will not respond to our agent or to an attorney and simply refuses to address the issues. They claim we own them $10K; we claim they owe us $10K. Our attorney told us that they are well known for refusing to respond to customer complains in any meaningful way. Their claims of sympathy on BBB are pure BS...

I haven't even taken the trip and the experience has been awful. Booking is not easy, and availability is terrible. I was told I could book this any time except during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I've been trying to book and now there will be extra charges because of the time of year. I was told something very different when this was sold to me. This is a not a good deal. My vacation package will likely expire. Will never do this again.

Stay away from this program.. they sell you the 250 package great deal but then the BS begins.. The nights and dates you want are never available - except for an up charge!!! DO NOT PAY FOR THIS PROGRAM!
