After talking to Holiday Inn reservations I was switched to a promotion and told it was stay a a new property being promoted. Nothing said about a required time share presentation. It was a good deal and I bought it. Told friends and they said there is a catch. Contacted by reservations and told of required time share presentation attendance. I hate these and would have never bought this had I know. Refuses to refund my money despite the proof in the recorded call that I was not told about a required time share promotion attendance.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations has a number of branded properties, but it is virtually impossible to book them unless it is 6 months or more in advance. There are a very limited number of rooms available for club members, but you can easily book at those locations with dollars or even Holiday Inn rewards points. The only club resort that appears to be available all the time is Orange Lake. Don't waste your money. You can do much better booking on your own.

made mistake of adding points. advertised as buy one get one free, free points are assessed 100% maintenance fees. never mentioned fees are based on points. fees way too high to afford. sent email to cancel, no response. they then placed my deceased step mother on this account, which fully upset my father (85). these people will lie, with hold the truth and bury you without remorse. holiday inn is the bernie madoff of vacation plans. truth is, everyone can stay at these "resorts" and the cost is lower than being a member. STAY AWAY, try asking to take the contract with you unsigned and have a lawyer review. biggest mistake of my life, they are scum.

This weekend I arrived in Melbourne, Florida for a holiday inn vacation package, which included a tour to the resort and possible purchase of a timeshare. Halfway through the presentation with Lilly, I was approached by the sales mgr Brian, who claimed that I violated the parameters of the package. He said I arrived to the tour with a woman by the name of L**** Parrot. Which disqualified me. As a result I did not receive the $100 or points promised and would be billed for the retail price of the room for 3 days. I was instructed to reach out to customer service, which I did. I was told the accusations came directly from Brian and he told customer service I admitted that I knew this person. (Which I didn't I can't imagine why he would lie. )But my first thought was it was because I am black and even though I could afford the timeshare they didn't want me at THAT location. I was treated unfairly and I didn't seem to have a voice. I was humiliated In front of the other guest and was asked to leave, I returned and was escorted out. I went outside and called customer service again. In tears. I couldn't imagine how one person's opinion had cost me so much money that weekend. I have reached out to customer service several times since then and discovered. I was billed for 3 packages @$200/each. What a scam! I contacted a lawyer in the area. He told me they were in breach of the contract.

The $199 three night stay deal they offer is a scam! they will take your money then never let you book a stay. and it is non-refundable. So you pay them $199 for nothing just a big headache.

I was contacted by Holiday Inn to join the vacation club. I usually never give a telemarketer time. Me and my wife were planning to visit Gatlinburg in January 2024. The sales guy said that we could stay 4 nights, get a bunch of hotel points, and get back my joining fee of $279. We would just need to attend a low pressure pitch about Holiday Inn properties. I asked him if it would be longer than 2 hours. He said no. I figured why not. Four nights for free and only 2 hours of my time. I called immediately after joining to book my trip. The sales guy said no problem getting Gatlinburg in January. The reservation guy said all the properties were booked until May. I went ahead and booked the trip for May. I felt a bait and switch already occurred. I asked for a refund and was denied. This got me curious so I looked up Holiday vacation Club and found overwhelming negative reviews. Consumer reports 1 out of 5 stars. Better business bureau, 1 out of 5 stars. I plan to print out many of the reviews from this site, plus the others. When the high pressure starts, I’m going to tell them “Hell No” and read back these reviews. The overall reviews from multiple internet sites show a common theme of saying one thing and not delivering. Many of the reviews state the sale pitch can last 3-6 hours. It’s not described as low pressure. Thank you all for saving me any temptation to join Holiday Inn Vacation club!! No way I get involved with a company with such awful reviews! Is there any advice on getting out of the sales pitch in 2 hours, or any thing I might need to know? I thought about cancelling the trip but don’t want this company to get my money. Further more, I’m documenting my calls and will contact the state attorney general if I’m not given my fee back, points, and free to leave after 2 hours without penalty. As agreed to by the reservation sent to me.

I purchased a vacation package 2 years ago. No any issues at that time. While I went for their mandatory tour to get 199 cash return, they disqualified me as I was in H1B status. They never mentioned about this while selling the package. This is a Fraud. So, if others also faced similar problems, let’s file a lawsuit against them. Let’s make this big class action.
