Booked a room with Holiday inn on the 12th of April for 1 night
Paid when we arrived and was charged again when we left on the 13th of April.
It did not help also that we were booked a room with adjoining room which had teenagers that made noise till early in a morning. My young kids hardly slept.
Not pleased to be charge twice for the terrible experience.

Don't Do It!!
Don't buy into the sales pitch!! Deceptive and misleading marketing techniques! Member benefits are not what are sold to you! HiCV fails to deliver what they push you to buy into! Very limited availability in dates and facilities! If you are lucky enough to get to use any of the facilities, you will quickly realize the pictures shown to you in sales pitches are NOT what you get.

Scam scam scam scam
Scam scam scam scam
Honestly just don't do it, you will be sorry. I haven't read a review yet...but the most disappointing thing about this time share is that your mortgage matures when you sign. I don't know if matures is the right word so let me explain....here how it goes you sign your mortgage for say $20,000. When you sign that mortgage all the interest that would accrue over the course of time is automatically added to your balance. So you signed for $20,000 but the loan immediately goes to $30,000. I swear to God!
Along.with all the lies about when you can use them, how you can use them. They don't tell you anything about the cost increase of the maintenance dues. No one has ever mentioned the club fees. Not to mention you can't just book when you want to, you have to book when you're allowed to. I am paying double my maintenance fees then when I started. They did not tell me that.

AVOID THE IHG VACATION C.
One bad experience from the begining to the end
We signed up in January when we called looking for a last minute hotel room. I wouldn't recommend this to any one for any reason. They tell you no black out days, but don't mention Subject to availability. Well every call made to book our stay had no availability on many different days and locations. If they had availability we had to look into flights, a rental car and our work schedule, call back an hour later. Sorry that rooms gone! It took many calls to get a room reserved. We even had a specific hotel we wanted to stay at, the rep says yes that's available, we book it. We get the confirmation, nope wrong hotel, Back on the phone with these scammers. Get the same girl I ask her why did you say that hotel was available, her response sorry I wasn't paying attention. OK!
The time share presentation was a joke. Told the guy from the start we wouldn't be buying. Sat thru the 2 hours and at the end a manager comes up and says we have done their presentation 5 times and the limit is 3. WHAT?? Not true! He goes on to say IHG won't charge us for the 3 nights stay but no promotional items. Again after sitting there 2 hours, they didn't research this before taking our booking and letting us sit thru 2 hours of BS? We said we have never even done 2. Unreal another issue with IHG, they would not give us the cash or points we were promised for the presentation. Gave us a phone number to clear it up, guess they thought we would just walk out. Hell NO! I Put my foot down and said I'm not leaving with out the items promised. Took some time but we got what was offered when we bought the promotion 3 nights stay. Read reviews on the IHG vacation club, you will be as shocked as I was.

Run away
Run. Customer service is horrendous and cost us half of our yearly points. They told us during a call last fall that we had points expiring and asked if we'd like them to move them. We were surprised because we didn't think they could be moved. Instead of moving expiring points, they took the same amount from THIS YEARS points and moved THEM instead! Not only did we lose the points that were about to expire, but also lost half of our vacation time for this year. They "investigated" and did nothing, despite the odd expiring point total matching what they stole from us this year. During the "yearly update" (hard sell upgrade push) they said the only way they could get our points back was to upgrade. Been with them 3 years. Maintenance costs have more than tripled. Limited locations. No upgrades like Wyndham. Very disappointing

So disappointed
So disappointed! I have been an IHG member a long time. Just called to book a regular room for a conference. Had a good experience with the booking, but then was forwarded to the Holiday Inn club for a 'deal'. I listened, then after about 6-7 minutes the fellow mentioned a 2-hour tour, and that was it for me. I had plenty to do at work, and said I did not plan to make any plans, was not interested, did not want to give any deposits or give a credit card, and did not plan to conduct any transaction. The fellow was not particularly pleasant at that point, and finally said 'thank you for your time.' IHG owes me for lost time like that. That is poor sales, poor marketing, and simple nonsense. If they want to sell a hotel room, they should send an email once or twice a year with a few nice deals. Period.

Buyers remorse, Well I was feed the same types of lies
Well I was feed the same types of lies. We went to several of their Members meetings were all they did was to try and up-sale you into buying more. We (my wife and I) are on a limited budget. We told them this. They said this is not a problem, you can transfer you points to IHG then move them back when you want to use them. Well here is this problem. they charge you $99 each time you transfer out to IHG, and my understanding in order for you to move them back in you have to go through a bunch of pooh-pooh.
Last year I made reservations for a trip for my wife and I for this year. Well one of there sales people called me and said I need to go to a members meeting. I mentioned that I will go to the on where I have a booking. they said, No No, you need to go sometime this year. I said fine and they booked us for a weekend. Well to come to 2024 and found out that they canceled the reservation we made at the other location. And when I tried to rebook. They were all booked/blocked. Regardless of whom I talked too they said sorry we can't do anything to fix the issue. They were able to see where I had it booked, and when it was removed.
Sneaky little devils' they are, So we are still going to our destination but not staying at a Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
This is a buyers remorse. For all the taxes and maintenance fees they charge me, and I can not even stay at their locations. What a joke!

Nothing but lies
Nothing but lies. They will say anything to get the sale, but do not honor what is said. Obviously I should have checked their reviews before giving them money. My mistake.
