This was back in 2021, paid money, upgraded to 2 rooms (extra money). They cancelled my room due to COVID travel restrictions, and never gave another reservation. Yet they continue to call, I give them this case, they promise to look into it, but no follow-up. THIS IS A SCAM, THE PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST. Stay away. Charged on an IHG credit card.

I was drawn into purchasing a package and the knowledge that this included a time share presentation was not granted me until the very end, around the time payment was going to process. But one of the resorts is located at a place I was already planning to travel to for a convention. The first hiccup came when I found out I had purchased the hotel package and not the resort (all because the sales rep “dropped the price” for me when I first said no - not telling me this was for two different things: hotel or resort). I could not even use the hotel package as I have a family of six and it is for up to four. But I thought it would still be worth it to pay the extra (which was also going to include a peak season fee). One of my mistakes was to keep trying to use the same rep for every call to make things flow easily. She must not know how to work the system. The first two or three calls she thought the resort wasn’t open to book (the first call was made soon after purchase, about a year before the dates I wanted). Well, yesterday she said the same thing then went to ask someone what was going on. She came back and told me that resort is completely booked for all of 2025! I will never know if my dates were open when I first called ( though I doubt they were since she couldn’t find them). I expressed my frustration and she tried to get me to think I could still use it (which I won’t; we can’t just take a random extra vacation on top of this one we are already doing). So she told me she’d send me a cancellation form. I was not expecting that, I thought I had just lost my $200. Well the form came and even though it said this is for “within 14 days of purchase” (I purchased in March!) I still went ahead and tried. Already received a denial. All she did was get my hopes up unnecessarily. I HAVE lost my money as I will never be able to use this package. I would recommend never ever working with holiday inn club vacations. It is not worth it. I am glad they are not totally connected to holiday inn itself as those are our favorite hotels.

I would give Holiday Inn Club vacations 0 stars if I could. I was solicited by them Oct 2023. Every time I speak to someone it's a different story a different hoop to jump through. We lost $300 and never took a trip. Do not book with them, they are scammers and will change the rules as they see fit. I should have followed the old rule, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Hopefully this review helps someone else not make the mistake I did.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SCAM!! They are nice when trying to sign you up. Everything after that good luck. Told them I wanted to reschedule....there is a fee. Told them I didn't want to use the "free nights"....there is a fee for that. Fees for Everything.....for a "vacation" that I already paid for. Smh. Money money, money grab.

I was needing to make a reservation earlier this year and had called to make a reservation. I had pets and they told me it was a $50 fee for pets over the phone. They did not mention it was a $50 per pet each day of the reservation until I got to the hotel. That should have been my first warning. They also convinced me on the phone that I should sign up for a promotion they were doing in order to get 4 free days and three nights free if I listened to their timeshare. It ended up being over $200 to reserve my spot but they made the reservation. Then when I called to schedule the promotion, they made the reservation and then told me that I did not qualify because I do not make over $50,000 annually. And the lady I was talking to on the phone (who finalized the reservation in the same conversation) said she had to cancel it - she then gave me the wrong email and told me I had to reach out to that email to ask for a refund, and then when I finally after calling back 3 other times, got the right email- it is an automatic reply saying it was non-refundable. They would not even consider the fact that they should never have signed me up in the first place if I did not qualify!! How can they say it's not refundable if I should never have been in the promotion?

I did not get the 10K points I was offered for a getaway promotion. After few calls and emails I was told that Holiday Inn Club Vacations would not honor that offer because I was supposed to claim the 10K by the time I had booked my trip. However, looking back at the emails and all communications, including the confirmation email, there is absolutely nothing stating that I was supposed inform that 10K was part of the package. Very poor communication and total lack of support from Holiday Inn Club Vacations staff.

Absolutely 0 helpful management and staff. We wanted to check holiday inn vacation club and got a deal, that includes discounts on stay and visiting presentation. Nobody told us that location of presentation is 40 min drive. We were in lobby in time and waiting, when found out about it. We drove, came late and asking for re-scheduling. Waiting 3 hours for answers. Called 2 times on customer service. Finally they refused to make an accommodation and charged us additional $500 on top $400 for very simple, not clean hotel in Galveston. $900 total for 3 days . I was loyal customer for many years, really like chain in Idaho and Montana, but not gonna use them again. And definitely will not recommend to get their timeshare deal- if you will have problems, they will not help you.
