I regret doing business with Holiday Inn Club Vacations. They are not honest upfront with you, and then they have me stuck in a contract I can’t seem to get out of. The timeframe to change your mind with them is not long enough to matter.

I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with the Holiday Inn timeshare has been nothing but disappointing and frustrating. To this day, we haven’t been able to use it at all. Every time we try to book, we don’t have enough points—even for the most basic properties. The website is a mess, requiring multiple calls to customer service just to access it. And when I do call, I’m always routed to another salesperson pushing yet another presentation.
On top of that, they regularly call to "offer" to buy my timeshare back, but somehow want me to pay them more money to do so? How does that even make sense? This is not the “great investment” they promised during the sales pitch. My family has been paying monthly for this and gotten absolutely nothing in return—except constant demands for more money and endless, harassing phone calls.
Their customer service and sales process were terrible from the beginning. Before purchasing, I noticed my rewards points weren’t adding up correctly. When I called to resolve it, I ended up being pitched a “free” trip to Las Vegas in exchange for attending a one-hour presentation. My wife and I reluctantly agreed and paid a $200 deposit, which they said would be refunded after the presentation. That “one-hour” presentation turned into over five hours of high-pressure tactics, with multiple salespeople making false promises about how this timeshare would be a great investment for our family.
Nearly everything they told us has been false or misleading. The points lose value every year due to inflation in property rates, the property fees keep rising, and there are hidden membership fees and a complicated redemption process. They baited us with the idea of cheap “last call” stays, but those come with the catch of attending more sales presentations.
Looking back, we felt trapped during that five-hour session—they wouldn’t even refund our $200 deposit unless we sat through the entire ordeal. What was supposed to be helpful for our family has only caused financial stress and disappointment.
After all this, we could have stayed in regular hotels multiple times a year and spent far less money. Avoid this scam at all costs. There’s no value here—just a predatory system designed to take your money and string you along with false promises. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

No way to exit unless you pay an exorbitant fee
Do not under any circumstance purchase a Holiday Inn timeshare. Monthly dues increase every year with the unit and facility degrading over time. The fee to exit your deed is an exorbitant amount where they will also try to get you to purchase another unit. They intend to take your dues until you die, literally, with little chance to get out of the contract. We owned one for 30 years and paid handsomely in our retirement years to exit. Air BNB is much cheaper.

Absolutely Horrible Experience with…
Absolutely Horrible Experience with Holiday Inn Timeshare
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Investing in a Holiday Inn timeshare back in 2000 has turned out to be the WORST decision we’ve ever made. What seemed like a great idea at the time has become a never-ending nightmare.
My wife and I have been grappling with unforeseen and life-altering health challenges—my wife battling cancer and myself needing neck surgery. These situations have weighed heavily on us emotionally, physically, and financially. Unfortunately, Holiday Inn has shown ZERO compassion or understanding of our predicament.
We reached out multiple times, pleading for a way to get out of this burden that no longer serves our lifestyle or situation. Despite explaining our health and financial struggles, the response has been utterly unyielding and dismissive. Rather than help us, they’ve left us trapped in a contract we simply can’t manage anymore.
If you’re considering a timeshare with Holiday Inn, think again. I wouldn’t wish this long-term financial strain and stress on anyone. This company prioritizes profits over people, with no regard for individual circumstances. Save yourself the pain and stay FAR away from this predatory scheme.

My experience with Holiday Inn Vacation…
My experience with Holiday Inn Vacation Club has been disappointing. Maintenance fees increase every year without justification. Reservations are nearly impossible to secure due to constant lack of availability. Despite the cost, the value promised is not delivered. I cannot recommend this service.

Our experience with Holiday Inn Club…
Our experience with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been pretty disappointing. We thought buying Signature would mean more flexibility and ease, but it’s been tough to book the locations we actually want because of these strict reservation "windows." We really expected Signature to solve this issue, but that hasn’t been the case.
On top of that, the rising maintenance fees—especially during the holidays—are hard to keep up with, especially since we’re already paying a lot for the timeshare itself. It just doesn’t feel fair. When we’ve reached out to try and resolve these problems, the support hasn’t been helpful, and we’re left feeling like we’ve been scammed.
Based on our experience, we wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

ZERO stars!
ZERO stars!! Don’t accept any terms from them or fall for their gimmicks and lies. You’ll be constantly bombarded for payments and raised property taxes each year and never be able to use your points for vacations at any point you want to. Look across all review platforms and you will see 1000’s and 1000’s of 1-star reviews. Run away and avoid like the plague. I assume a large class action suit will be filed shortly in the future against IHG as a whole. Worst life decision you could make. Run!!

Warning: Deceptive Sales Tactics & No Refunds!
Warning: Deceptive Sales Tactics & No Refunds!
I purchased a vacation package to Myrtle Beach after a pushy sales rep assured me I could cancel at any time for any reason—no problem. That was a lie. When my financial situation changed a month later, I tried to cancel, only to receive a letter denying my refund and claiming the agreement clearly stated no cancellations. That was never disclosed to me. Now I’m out nearly $500.
Do not trust these crooks. If they’re willing to lie just to get you in the door, imagine what they’ll say during their timeshare presentation to squeeze even more money out of you.
I’ve also lost trust in Holiday Inn, which I’ve stayed with for years. I was calling about my account when they transferred me to these scammers. The fact that Holiday Inn is funneling customers into these shady sales pitches speaks volumes. Beware!
