I should give -100 to this company but they force you here to provide at least one 1 star. This company is the worst ever thing I have seen in my entire life. They do not do their job. Everything I have read in the other comments is valid. 1. Email system is not working, 2. They ask for documentation for everything even for super old contracts. 3. They rarely contact HR from your previous works and when they cannot understand the documentation they just clear it with "Not verified" 4. If you provide contacts to call or send emails to, with the intention of helping them reach your past employers they just ignore you although they say they will contact them. 5. They put you at serious risk of losing your job offer because they do not do their job. 6. They are invasive and arrogant and they take so long time (1 month) for doing an incomplete and wrong check. 7. If you have worked abroad it is likely that they are not able to check that position for you. 8. They will not inform you about the process or the stage leaving you in a holding state for weeks. 9. They do not justify their report thoroughly to the hiring company they just put a series of checks not checked without saying what they have tried to verify that positions. 10. Next time you are looking for a job ask first who is the background check company and if it is HireRight quit the interview.

This company is mediocre in several ways: - Our request was for them to verify a candidate past employment. The company simply reported "data not found". We had to reach out to the candidate to ask for additional information ourselves, only to find out how bad a job Hireright did to attempt verifying the information for its client. - Upon requesting a phone number of a past employer of our candidate, it called without checking that it would be in a different time zone thus the time of calling occurred during night time (non-working time). Then the only thing it reported was "attempted several times, no response". - It even put the note of our candidate about different time zones to the wrong company (which had the same time zone as ours). So we regret paying this company for the job that we have to do anyways as an employer.

Most incopetent company I have had to deal with. They cannot understand any documentation from foreign countries and they make a living doing this? I literally sent them everything, then they asked me for every single thing I had already sent them AGAIN and once I did that they did not accept things as my STAMPED OFFICIAL CRIMINAL CHECK, saying it is not official, My proof of address contract, which had my name and relevant dates, my ID (had to scan it three times, black and white, coloured, even took a picture and they did not accept any of it. My company had to restart the background check for me because my profile was overloaded with document uploads, I am in the process of second background check, same documents, they are raising errors with me every day - THIS TIME WITH COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS ... ABSOLUTELY, ABSOLUTELY, INCOPETENT AND AMATEUR SERVICE

These people are beyond incompetent. I honestly am questioning my potential employer now, given that they hire such an incompetent company to do their background checks. I am self-employed and, as requested, in the initial upload of documents I sent them my business license, county clerk notification of my business name and license, the IRS letter showing my EIN. I thought that was sufficient. A day later, I get an email requesting ONE document as proof of my business. The list they provided as "acceptable" documents included THE FOUR DAMN DOCUMENTS I HAD ALREADY SENT! Then, they wanted to know the month and date since I have been living at my current address. I provided that. BUT, a day later they then requested PROOF OF THE MONTH/DATE. WTH?!! I've lived in my house 24 years and the mortgage has looooong ago been paid off. Yet they requested all of the documentation from when I purchased the freaking house. At this point, I don't care if I don't pass the background check. Hell, I have a successful business and I will just stay in that. Or, I'll get a job at company that hires a responsible, capable background check company. These jokers must be in India or something, as they clearly do not understand English.

Horribly inefficient company. They were unable to verify a single thing, and I needed to find and upload tax forms from every job I've had even going into college, and couldn't even verify I graduated from school. Why this company still exists is a mystery.

So far it has been over a month since this plain Jayne grandmother, who doesn't smoke, drink or even have a parking ticket, submitted info to "Hire Right but not Timely" with no results. The harassment started immediately. On the SSN Verification form they sent me to complete, the OTHER reason code box was checked, and Background Check typed beneath it. I left it as it was, since it was already filled out. Hire Right told me to check the OTHER box and write "Background CHeck" there. I called, because it did not make sense since it was already typed on the form. Hire Right said to just hand-write it and resubmit. I did, and the next day they complained because the word "background" was on there twice! Duh...we went round and round over that for days, and finally they asked me to re-complete the original form, leaving the type-written "background check" on there and not had-writing background check. Later found out that the 'printed name" had to be in all capitals (did not say that anywhere), that format of dates must be consistent (mm/dd/ccyy and mm-dd-ccyy is NOT ok with Hire Right on there forms!) And do not write the case number on the form, although the first communication you have with them says that any document provided to Hire Right has to have the case number on it. They do not assign one person to a case who follows thru; instead, each new reviewer adds their interpretation of what is required and even contradict each other. Response to "Relationship" needs to be (1) N/A (2) child or (guardian), but the form does not clue you in to those choices. This company operates like the dark ages.

I sent them all the required work certicates with stamps and signatures of my previous employers, they ask me to contact the secretary of my university to send them an email that my license is valid (I do their job).Any HR employee but not hireright could comfirm that my work documents are valid in maximum one day, It passed one month and their report is not ready yet. If you ever receive an email from hireright runaway quickly.There are hundreds of people in this situation there must be a class-action lawsuit.

Can I give lower than 1 star? Honestly, my past 2 weeks was awful! I passed their screening already. But this company and their poor auto generated email could make you feel like criminal without being one. I submitted last doc Friday, and no further requests were coming. But on Wednesday they inform the employer that I was not uploading the requested document without even check on my last upload… I need to screenshot everything and send to employer to protect myself from their made-up stories. Ironically, on that exact same day I passed with the report sent to the employer. The CS is robotic. Not helpful at all. I did the work for them, while they were just repeatedly send me the same sentence of what they want. I have done all the contacts and document requests to HR on my 6 years ago employer myself.
