After a month of waiting for my background check to come in they are still gathering information according to hire right. I have lived in the same county my entire life and have all my jobs and schooling history. This company shouldn’t be able to operate. They will not give any updates or a reason why the process is taking so long besides their background screen is more thorough than state and federal checks according to them. I highly doubt their screening is any better then what I can get online and google about a person. If your potential employer uses this company think twice. My hire date has been pushed back again pending if they ever finish my screening.

Currently going through this process. They keep asking for clarification of self employment which was provided in the form of SA302 tax calculation but, this wasnt enough. I have submitted other documents but, in the end, I have had to request confirmation off HMRC that I have been submitting records for over 10 years. Also in the intial form when you list your employment, if you dont list all of your sole trader names listed on your CV, it will show as a discrepancy. When I completed this, the fields were pre populated. so be careful not to miss anything. You will need to add anything that is missed and don't assume it isnt required. I haven't experienced this level of stress for a long time. I will be devastated if this process costs me my employement offer.

Horrible experience with HireRight. They are telling me I have to verify my own education by having the college I graduated from over 15 years ago call them to verify that I graduated from there. Why am I doing their job for them ???? This background check has been going on for one month because they can’t verify my education. I sent my transcript and my degree which they say they cannot take at face value. I have a professional license with the state which they were able to verify. How did I receive my professional license without my college degree???? There is no common sense. I never seen such an incompetent background check company. Horrible experience. Really discouraging me from the new job. First advantage is 100 times better company for background check. Employers should not use HireRight.

I got an 'employment verification request' for a former employee on my team. The process is not optimized to save time for the former employer, probably a lot of people do not complete it.

The worst company ever, they stated I worked for a company I never worked for. I provided them with the documentation which validated the information I gave them accurate they deemed the documents as unacceptable. I am at my with ends company. Wow that’s all I can say

Hireright is ridiculous. They keep asking me for the same information over and over again. I’ve provided my contract information for previous employment and they say that’s not sufficient evidence? Honestly getting a background check from them is the most stressful thing. It’s been on going for 2 weeks just to get a background check verified even though I’ve provided all necessary information! I should be on annual leave but they keep pestering me for the same information over and over again.

Worst background check company ever. We have been in the same trouble as the previous reviews state. They don't even review the documents you send them. And when someone at your previous company makes a mistake, they don't even re-verify the information.

Horrible Experience I have provided at least 10-15 Docs but they are going in loop , I guess I have to reject offer since they are taking way too long and will miss my deadline . Even though , explain over phone that i have submit everything I have but who know what they are doing. Honestly, Lots of stress Personal advise : If you see HireRight for background check, reject offer right away.
