I applied for uber they ran my criminal background threw checkr who passed me then threw hireright who failed my background check for a speeding ticket and a failure to appear showing up when in fact the ticket was paid and the warrant was lifted but they still failed me. The ticket was 4 years ago and paid off Ridiculous company.

AWFUL, SIMPLY AWFUL. Words cannot describe the number of times I have sent them the same information. Initially, pre-empting that they would require information I uploaded contracts, P45s, payslips and my HMRC record for all of my past jobs. I then am told to upload all of this again three separate times despite them confirming receipt after every single attempt. Their agents can barely scrape a line of coherent English together between the lot of them and they all have different stories as to how the report is going. They still are not happy to verify my employment despite all the information because past company HR "haven't verified" and all of my documents "do not state all the required information in the same document (start date, end date, title, reason for leaving)". Is there any document which provides all of this? My deepest apologies that you actually have to do YOUR job and read a few different documents rather than being spoon fed everything. I happen to be quite close to HR at an old company, which is very small and she is the only HR member there. She said they never received any sort of email or phone call. When I inform hire right of this it gets lost in their magical kingdom of inefficiency and never appears to be answered. Their inbox must be like Aladdin's cave with the amount of emails they "cannot locate" or more plainly, simply ignore. I sincerely hope this company goes out of business and can no longer operate into the future. I pray that all HR departments stop using them as the process is incredibly complicated and stressful for candidates who have done nothing wrong but are simply victims of the incompetence of this shoddy company. My background check has been ongoing for three weeks now, I can genuinely say if I ever found out a future employer used them to verify, I simply would not apply.

I found them also incompetent. Actually it downgraded my views about the potential employer, who has referred to HireRight and expose the applicant credentials to a weird organization.

The most ridiculous screening company. Asking the same questions year after year. Even if I had screening 2 years ago and approved they still ask for informations for period more than 2 years ago. How often should the same information be confirmed??? An education / work experience older than years and has been verified will not be changed. Ridiculous. But what to do with companies that can not think!!!!

Literally the most irresponsible and worst company on the planet. They put their background check subject as “field of study or major” for the educational background check but then they say “the major is different”. However, what I wrote inside of the subject is my “field of study”, not my “major”. If the university provides the “major” instead of the “field of study” then at least you have the brain to verify if they are in the same field. But they don’t do it, they just same “they are different”. Hello? Hello? You put “field of study OR major” in your subject on the website and now you’re blaming the candidate for your own mistake? So easy for you to do it. Literally the most irresponsible company that I met so far in my life.

This agency is a disgrace. They're about to sabotaging me the 2nd time, this time I'll head a solicitor to them. Completely incompetent in verifying the given information, reporting completely different data on their report, where you have to appeal against it and try to proof that you haven't reported anything incorrectly. I don't want to know how many people they've already sabotaged. HireRight is the worst I ever experienced in 10y business working in IT & Tech.

where’s my results ⁉️i sent over all information needed. employer said yall found sample but results still not posted.So again where’s my results and why its not posted on my page i shouldn’t have to send no information yall have all info needed. not going to let yall ruin 2 jobs for me

UPDATE: continued poor service. I got one email after posting here (with my name spelt incorrectly) asking me to call - I can’t as my phone isn’t working overseas. No reply to me stating this, and apparently they have reissued the forms (for the third time) but nothing has been received at my end. Both I and the hiring company are very frustrated with HireRight. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Terrible service, we’ve been trying to process my check for 6 weeks. The company I’m working for are told I haven’t completed things, I’m told to go to the company because only they can resolve the issue. I’ve spent so many stressful hours (not an exaggeration) on live chat going in circles, and the company have now escalated for the 3rd time. The problem isn’t me or the company, it’s the HireRight portal which is broken. I travelled overseas to take this role and was supposed to start on Tuesday. I tried emailing the address HireRight use to respond to these comments and received nothing. Stuck.
