Awful experience. Uploaded everything required for verification including scans of education transcripts and parchments, university phone numbers and emails. Said they couldn't verify and that they tried calling my number - zero calls in the phone log. Weeks of "attempting to contact" and attempting to verify. They were given extremely simple instructions by one university that they couldn't follow. I had to pay for my own, separate verification which was completed in days with no issue. The biggest red flag is the company will lie and say they have attempted contact when no attempt was made, or an incorrect attempt was made.

Terrible process, documents are reviewed by staff not skilled enough to read and interpret documents correctly. Process is painful and neverending.

I had a feeling I am doing my own BGC. They request a lot of information and documents, including personal data. Then they check if the application data match with documents attached. Also, long process and lack of local knowledge. Don't believe companies hire them to check on their employees.

If I could I would just give a 0 star. Horrible company to work with. See my experience below: 1. I was unable to pass an online step，always got an error page. I captured screenshot，contacted customer care. I was promised someone will contact me within 48 hours. but in fact，issue was not resolved. I had to request hiring company generate me a new link after waited 3 days. 2. For my university degree，I submitted a notarized document. It was certified by notary public，used in my other legal document. But HireRight did not accept it. They still went ahead tried to contact the school. After waited for a week，I've been told cannot verify my university degree. I don't understand why they had to contact school，in fact the degree was certified. Alao each time I contact customer care I was given a broken promise that it will be completed with in 48 hours. 3. I'm self employed，I provided my own company pay cheque to my personal，also income tax slip (T4) showing I'm employed by my own company. But still HireRight came back with unable to verify my current employment. How could they not trust tax slip? 4. I checked I had previous background check done by HireRight，my university degree was accepted before. It is the same document. Why it was accepted before，but not this time? Overall，extreme disappointed with the whole process. As of my writing now，the background check still has not been done. And it dragged fir over 2 weeks，going into week 3，I'm still stuck in this pending/waiting situation. James

This company is a joke. No explanation needed as I've not seen one good review of them. I hope nobody has to deal with this company.

THE worst company i have ever had the displeasure to deal with!!! After passing two interviews and an ABTA test, i was then presented with this digustingly awful, intrusive company, to finalise my employment. Firstly, i do not very much appreciate EVERY company i've ever worked for in the last 20 years to be contacted, asking them for my start and end dates, contracts with personal information on, reason for leaving and even reference letters! It should be my choice who i choose to use as a reference and not be forced to use every single company on my CV. Despite submitting the requested information to this 3rd party company, they continued to keep sending the same requests, for the same information over and over again, on a daily basis. I was then plagued with emails, telephone calls and text messages continually, often all 3 in one day! Unfortunately, this force-fed harassment has resulted in me making the decision to decline the position offered, which is a real shame. After reading the reviews on here and experiencing first hand this unnecessary online abuse of privacy, i no longer wish to continue with this process. This awful company are driving away potentially valuable, hard working employees. A 99% - 1 star review speaks volumes but does reflect perfectly on the incompetancy of this terrible company.

Too long for a simple BG check in one Fla county, not a rural county and they have no system issues,,, every other county in Fla came back in a couple of days .., I already quit my other job. Further, this county has no record of HireRight request !!

This is a pretty abysmal company, that does an awful job of customer service and processing data. They habitually fail at processing documents correctly, and even when you pre-emptively submit documents to support information, they don't even review it, and instead ask for the same informaiton.
