This is the worst company and experience I have ever had I was hired by a company which I was very excited about however my start date had come and gone because of the savory business practices of HireRight it’s been over a month and my Mental Health is starting to suffer because of this I call and either get hung up on or told there’s a delay I’ve had 3 background checks done in the past 3 years with a less than 5 day turnaround these people have had the same information since July 18 and still telling me there’s a delay I don’t understand how this company is still in business I also have read the reviews and it’s horrible that they treat people who are only trying to better themselves this way….. Something needs to be done about this company

They are the worste to deal with. Incompetent lazy and a waste of time. Same questions over and over for weeks. They obviously don't check details or wouldn't keep asking the same crap over and over. To flipped. I'm thinking of pulling my application. If you want to hire good staff. Don't put them thru this service

I prefer to give it -1 Recently, I received a job offer from a company I've always dreamed of working for, but my onboarding process has been delayed by HireRight for quite a while. It’s been two weeks so far, and the process still hasn't concluded—they're still asking me to provide more information. What's worse is that twice they didn’t notify me via email about the new information they required, and the requests were not clearly described, leaving me uncertain about which part of my experience they wanted details on. Additionally, there were several instances where they repeatedly asked for the same documents. I’m disappointed with their unprofessional handling of the situation. Even after providing the same HireRight report that I completed when I joined Dell, they are still giving me a hard time. It feels like they are trying to make me fail in this process. I'm feeling very frustrated about it. Update: Absolutely, hireright give a negative comment to my BGV, which means they failed my check anyway. Now the HR team again ask me to provide more docus, that hireright never asked for. What a shame with hireright.

They are partnered with my payroll company PayChex, so I ignored the one-star reviews due to what I thought would be a convenient process. The one-star reviews are completely deserved. We are trying to add background services with drug screening for employee hiring. They have zero new customer onboarding process, adding drug screen option has resulted in six-chat and two calls, filling out the same electronic form three times, and they still have not added this option. In one case, they send EchoSign/DocuSign documents.. you fill them out, but apparently must then down load a copy of the *electronic signature* document and email back to them? Mailing it back to them results in what appears to be an automated support email just referring back to filling out the online form. How this organization remains in business is amazing.

👎TERRIBLE. HireRight is the worst hiring company I’ve ever had to deal with. HireRight had me waiting for over a month to be hired due to their poor hiring process. I had to take upon myself to resolve issues and reach out to different companies to help with my hiring process. Something I am not responsible for. HireRight is by far the worst of the worst. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HireRight. Very inconvenient and takes entirely to long to complete simple tasks. 👎

Terrible process that basically makes you do your own background check for them. Get ready to go get all your transcripts from IRS, diploma and degree from schools and make all the phone calls and footwork. How this allowed is mind-blowing.

I would leave zero stars if possible I just reached out to hire right for a 4th time they claim they’re waiting on court records from Erie county first I was told they had an eta of 7/26 that came and passed so I call Erie county they tell me they are all caught up with everything and to contact the background check company I tell them who it is the response was laughter that told me all I needed to know so I reach out to hire right yet again and am told there’s an eta of 7/31 and to kindly wait yet again. Being I was offered this new job I put my 2 weeks in at old job so no longer working thinking it wouldn’t take long I have a soon to be wife and child to support was told everything would be completed by 7/17 well here we are 7/29 and still being yanked around is there anything that can be done better business bureau anything because this company is nothing more than a scam!!!

Horrible experience all the way around: Lazy, incommunicative, and generally seem to be completely incompenent... or maybe just THAT lazy?
