I am at my wit's end going through the background check process with Hire Right. They've delayed my report several times, causing my start date to be pushed back. They had me scrape together old W2s, pay stubs, offer letters, etc., and they've provided zero feedback about whether or not my documents are acceptable. Reading the other reviews here, I fully expect them to come back and say that my old jobs can't be verified, because if you're paid by an LLC that differs from the company name on your resume, you're apparently just screwed. Looking up a business license would be a leap too far for these yokels. Now they're waiting on a record from one county court. And they're waiting. And they're waiting. And they're waiting. Are they keeping their client, my new employer, in the loop about where they're getting stuck? No they are not! But their "customer service" thugs are lying to me and saying that they are. I have spent at least 10 hours dealing with Hire Right's incompetence and doing their job for them, probably more. Their delays have already cost me thousands of dollars in lost wages. Everyone I've spoken to has been rude and unhelpful. Their only goal is to get rid of you as quickly as possible. They've already faced some costly lawsuits and a bankruptcy, and I can see why. I hope that someone sues them out of existence in the near future. But, in the mean time, once I've finished with this process, I plan lodge complaint with HR regarding this vendor and request that they switch to a background check company with a better reputation (just about any company).=

So so so so bad. I'm not even a client, thank goodness. I've been trying to verify a past employment for a previous employee and holy cow. I've never experienced worse "customer service". No one answers but they have called me and leave completely unintelligible messages. Literally no one can understand anything they say and they speak at hyper speed. I have called them back no less than 10 times at various times over days and no one ever answers. Ever. No one should ever pay this company for their "service" because it is non-existent.

Awful at what they do! Their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing. They will email you looking for information and tell you they have been in contact with someone but did not get the info required, could you send a copy. Then in the next sentence ask for the contact info of the person they just said they had been in contact with. Essentially they want you to do all the work for them. I know they can find info out about my work history without me having to provide every W2. But instead they require I send it to them instead of them doing the work they are charging for. And they are slow. Even though they have done a background check on me before, we are now 3 days in and no report. Expect headaches if they have been hired to do a background or employment verification on you because they stuck at it apparently. Or they just have some lazy employees.

Duniya ki sbse bakwas company hai hireright for background verification. They do not put efforts in background check. Simply they cant call fhe previous employer and ask details to us again and again.

Terrible experience. Definitely not recommended. So stressful, they do not read notes you send, they sent me a form for the wrong company 3 times, so I cannot sign it, and even though my new employer only wants them to check the last 5 years they are refusing to validate me unless I give them information from 22 years ago. Pure hell. I have had it with this fiasco

Unfortunately for me I have had to go through this company twice and it has been the same harrowing experience each time. You have to do all the work yourself. Submitting documents over and over again. I have an issue having to submit documents containing my personal information. Why am I being asked to submit, call, collect and email whoever to get the information YOUR company is allegedly hired to do? They DO NOT communicate with you at all. You have to constantly log in and review your account to see if anything additional is needed. Then that takes another 48 hours to review. This company is asking for high-school transcripts from over 22 years ago!! I have a Bachelors and Master's degree. Surely I graduated highschool. Please do not have worked for a company that is no longer in business or has been bought out by another company. Now you have a discrepancy in employment because THEY cannot verify the information and it is up to you to provide proof that you did indeed work there. I have been working for over 25 years and never in my life I have been so stressed and overwhelmed with a background process as I have with HireRight. And what makes it even worse is I have a professional license and have to maintain a clean background at all times to even keep my license, but I'm told if this company cannot verify something it is grounds for failing a background report. I think this company is a scam, totally unprofessional and operates like a call center more than an actual professional business. It's quite obvious that my assumption is true given the same automated blanket response from them by the many complaints from customers. Seriously? An actual individualized response would be more appropriate and professional. I would give then a 0 if I could.

They sent me an email when they needed me to do their job for them and show that I had worked for a company, so I uploaded the documents to prove this. Then I didn’t hear anything from them so I assumed all was proceeding well, but when I logged in to double check, I found that they needed me to upload documentation for another job as well, but gave me no notification of this. What a completely useless company, I would be better off just going straight to HR at the company hiring me and showing them my documents. That would take about 45 minutes, rather than a week+.

I wish you can rate them 0 stars!! My background check status been on 80% for a month now!! July 12th it’s august 9th!! Every time I call HireRight, they blame the city & state for the hold up!! I’ve been waiting 23 business days 🤦🏾‍♂️
