WASTE, FRAUD, ABUSE! Their In-Network Provider List is a work of fiction! I signed up for Oscar Health with The Affordable Care Act. I checked their provider list BEFORE signing up. All of the doctors I had been seeing, including my old primary care, were on their list. But after I got signed up, I started calling to get appointments but it turns out NONE of them accept it. I then called 8 other doctors on their list near me. You guessed it, not a single one of them actually takes Oscar. So I decided to go to an urgent care. First 4 of those I called do not take it, but at least the 5th one did, even though they were 22 miles away (in a metro area!). Got a referral for an orthopedist which I desperately need. And they have just ONE orthopedist in-network for the ENTIRE STATE OF FLORIDA! 18 million people and just one orthopedist. Who is 200 miles and 4 hours away from me. But they are collecting $1568 in federal Affordable Care Act subsidies.

I never expect much from insurance companies, especially health insurance companies…. Oscar has been BY FAR The Worst “health insurance coverage” I have ever had (01-01-2025 to 12-31-2025) Their website is impossible to navigate and full of incorrect or misleading information regarding coverage, providers, etc. Customer service is a joke, they quote one business day to respond and often take longer, when they do respond they don’t even answer your question, as if they aren’t taking anytime at all to read what you wrote. You will wait on hold for hours trying to speak with a human and half the time get hung up on mid conversation for no reason. They don’t cover some of the most basic medications. They wouldn’t even authorize one that I desperately need which is not only common but also the safest option for me with the least side effects, and my doctor advocated for me several times to try to get it approved but they absolutely refused. I spent hundreds of dollars on simple blood tests and lab work that I have never paid so much out of pocket for before. They would’t even cover follow up sonogram after an abnormal monogram. I spent several days learning about and comparing health plans before choosing and so it wasn’t like I blindly went in to it and randomly chose Oscar. I feel like I was bait and switched. I wish I could get the last year of my life back.

Extremely bad customer service if you need to ask anything. Extremely well built system to hide from their clients. Nearby impossible to get a person to talk with. When you finally have someone he/she is only reading their paperwork and refuse to provide you advice/help in your actual question.

Pongo una estrella porque no puedo poner -10, mi error no haber leído antes las opiniones que habían puesto sobre esta empresa y sus servicios, es cierto que me fie de otra persona que si había contratado el servicio y le fue bien, pero está vez como en otras opiniones que he visto, a mí me pasó lo mismo, contraté una limpieza específica de cocina con armarios incluidos, y los baños a fondo por obra, quedamos el viernes pasado a las 11.30h según las horas de disponibilidad que indiqué, hasta las 13h no me dijeron que no acudía que estaba de camino... La mujer que contestaba al tlf estaba de comida y se escuchaba su risa despreocupada, después de perder toda la mañana, acordamos cambiar la hora a las 15h, tampoco llegó a las 16h avisé porque no quería perder también la tarde esperando a alguien que no llegaría, acordamos una nueva cita el domingo a las 9h, ...sorpresa no llegó nadie, después de esperar otra hora llame al tlf de ayuda y la misma chica que me había prometido que vendrían dos personas el domingo, me pregunta ella si no ha llegado la chica?, me vuelve a preguntar si puedo atenderla otro día y a otra hora que ella misma acude... No se quién lleva está empresa pero no la recomiendo, por supuesto me hicieron la devolución del importe íntegro dados los acontecimientos contados anteriormente, reitero que no recomendaré a nadie este servicio

Working as a HIPPA complaint PA nurse with a Major Pharmacy in assisting Patient and Doctor's Office to get Approval has been challenging lately. Apparently last two year I was able to get PA status so we can assist Doctors and patients to provide the right info get the PA approved. Most times Doctor and Insurance only communicate by Fax which as you can imagine can get missed and cause delays. So pharmacy PA staff serves as a bridge. By changing their policy and refusing to give the bare minimum info that we asked for. Oscar is doing an injustice to the patients. We are all healthcare workers working to provide Patient with best outcome but apparently Policy makers at Oscar don't care about that.

My husband had his colonoscopy earlier this year and Oscar refused to pay for the anesthesia - because it was not a medical necessity for the surgery!!! The anesthesia Dr's office was fighting for multiple cases including ours. Thankfully they wrote off their fee of $1,000 to us because Oscar would not break on this one. I can only imagine how much this office lost because of the wording in their policy. I wonder if the President of Oscar and high level executives have their colonoscopies with no anesthesia. We swore we would not use their insurance again this year but they are by far the cheapest for our budget. I know we will regret it.

Not impressed. Have had them for several years and it seems all their calls go through the Philippians and the agents just feel it is okay to transfer you to someone else without telling you first. I called today for about the 5th time regarding getting an Excellent Provider added to their list of providers and it is like the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. That was certainly a waste of my time and I do not appreciate that!
