Such an easy process! Breaks down everything and gives you insight into what the legal terms mean. Very happy!

This is what the HelloPrenup website promises: “Save money and time Save thousands of dollars and your sanity with our collaborative process and same-day download. 24/7 access. 100% stress-free.” Our experience was the opposite. We paid the fee & went through the many questions before learning that CA requires two attorneys to waive spousal support. Between my attorney & their recommended attorney, plus the site fee, we paid $3099. It was a very stressful process. I would recommend hiring private attorneys from the start if you plan to waive spousal support in California. The only upside is that my spouse & I now know we can get through hard things together :-)

It's a bare-bones prenup which is okay. The price is right. The site is pretty buggy and gave us a fair amount of headache trying to get the final document.

Great concept—but the negotiations flow is pretty buggy still. Took us about 20 minutes of resubmitting the same answers for several sections for the screen to finally clear and show our responses as aligned.

I signed up for HelloPrenup due to being led that I did not need an attorney. However, now that we waived Spousal Support we need an attorney (two attorneys since we can’t be represented by the same one) That is going to be extra money coming out of our pockets. Basically, it’ll be over a grand to complete the prenup, which is what we were avoiding.

Generally the questions were easy to follow and the platform was easy to use. I would suggest the following: 1) Monitor to see if any court cases have used HelloPrenup and prove that the documents can hold up in court 2) Include more FAQ links about the default State Law options directly in the platform, so it’s easier to see what the default law is when deciding if/how to deviate

Loved that it made a sensitive and complex subject fun and witty. Easy user interface, love the chat function, did not take too long, very reasonable price.
