This was one of the most frustrating…
This was one of the most frustrating healthcare booking experiences I've had, and I would not recommend Hello Klarity based on how my appointment was handled. I scheduled an appointment at approximately 3:00 p.m. because I was specifically seeking evaluation and treatment for ADHD medication. About an hour later, around 4:00 p.m., I was notified that the provider I had been matched with does not prescribe stimulant medications to adults over the age of 45. The problem is that Hello Klarity already had my date of birth before allowing me to book and pay for the appointment. Their system still recommended this provider and accepted my payment, even though I was never eligible to receive the treatment I was seeking from that provider. As soon as I learned this information, I immediately canceled the appointment. Despite canceling almost immediately after being notified, they refused to refund the $50 appointment fee, citing their cancellation policy. This situation could have been completely avoided if their booking system had prevented me from scheduling with an incompatible provider or clearly flagged the restriction before accepting my payment. I understand providers have prescribing policies, but patients should not be charged for appointments that the platform already knows cannot meet their medical needs. I hope Hello Klarity improves its screening process so future patients don't have the same experience.

Tiffany, we're sorry for the frustration here. We understand how upsetting it is to book and pay for an appointment, only to learn afterward that the provider's prescribing policy meant the visit wasn't a fit. Providers on our platform make independent clinical decisions, but this experience does not reflect the standard we want for patients using Klarity. We're reviewing the booking and screening flow you described, and we'd like to look into your cancellation and refund concerns directly. Please reach out through your patient portal or email us at [email protected] so our team can follow up privately and work toward a resolution.
