Bonsai has been very helpful in streamlining my invoicing process for my freelance design jobs. I have all my client information stored so it’s super easy to create a new project, track my hours, and track when I’ve been paid. I didn’t love the tax feature, as it wasn’t as user friendly.

I have been with Bonsai for a bit over a year. Overall, it's a great service for freelancers, and has really helped me to get my business off the ground. I needed a way to send proposals, get contracts signed, and take care of invoicing/payments. Bonsai has really helped to make that easy, so I can focus on other areas of the business! There is room for improvement. The service is reliable and I haven't had any issues, but there are additional features that I've been hoping to see for a while. The company does seem to be committed, however, to growing their product. They have released quite a few new features over the past year and they appear to listen to their customers and take suggestions. To summarize, I think Bonsai gives you the core essentials you need, for a very competitive price. They're an actively growing product and offer some nice flexibility that you don't necessarily get with some of the other big-name platforms.

Bonsai makes it simple to track hours and invoice clients. Their Proposal and Contract tools make it super easy to turn clients from leads into paying customers. There are a couple of small UX things I have issue with on their site (being a web developer makes me extra picky about stuff like this), but they seem to be continuously iterating and improving. Overall, a well rounded freelancer tool.

I've been using Bonsai for over a year, and I'm overall happy with it. Automatic expense synchronization is very helpful, as well as accounting. I wish there were some extra features, like a scheduling option for example, so I don't have to use external platforms for it. The support is usually helpful and responsive.

I'm a solo freelancer and have been using Bonsai for contracts between me and my clients AND between me and my subcontractors. It's really good from both sides as well as sending NDAs before work starts. It's an affordable and easy-to-use solution for a start-up business.

I have been using Bonsai for 2 years now and have no plans to change. It is cost effective for a small business and has all of the capabilities that a small business needs. Over the 2 years, there have been improvements and more capability that I use for my consulting business. I would like to see more filtering options for the Finance Tools Sections.

Bonsai makes sending proposals, contracts and invoices super easy. The contract templates are really useful too - there is a lot of value for the cost. My only negative is that there are a couple features for US clients only (for example the Taxes feature) which is a bit frustrating for non-US customers

Bonsai makes proposals, invoicing, and many other aspects of running a small business very straightforward. I find the capacity to chase late invoices automatically is extremely useful.
