Been using Bonsai for a couple years now for my business of one. Great tool that's easy to understand. Great compliment to more complex platforms like QuickBooks or on it's own.

I really love using Bonsai, it makes the admin of being a freelancer incredibly easy. The features are fantastic. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is some of the banking features aren't set up for South Africa, which is where I'm based. Other than that, I love using it and find it affordable for what you get.

Great place for templets

There is a bit of a learning curve to grasp all the features especially if you are new to freelancing as I was (hence 4 stars), but once you become comfortable with the platform you will see how very useful Bonsai is. Although I have not used every feature, the platform really does allow you to manage everything from the proposal to getting paid.

Massive timesaver, easy way to get your legal & financial stuff organised as a freelancer

This is a great tool for freelancers to have. It includes prewritten, easily editable contract templates and invoices. It has simple project proposals and is easy to track client status. The main con is that I can't find how to send manual payment reminders to clients when they request one, and their auto reminders do not show up in my send mail folder.

I love Bonsai. It's great for managing my invoices and what really brought me to them was their contract templates. However, I've mainly been using them for invoicing and I'm finding I actually don't really need a fancy software to handle invoicing because there are tons of cheaper or free options out there that offer the same invoicing features. Still, I really like it and will probably be using them for the next few months. I truly recommend them if they have tools you need. If you need template contracts, they're great for that too!
