BonsaiReviews of hellobonsai.com

Overall, Bonsai is a fantastic tool for my freelance business. There are some things I've noticed that I would change (sometimes payments take a while to process, there are weird things that happen when logging in, etc.), but overall it's a great tool.

I am a freelance writer with only one client. Bonsai helps me track my hours and sends invoices for me all in one spot, which I really appreciate. I do wish that it was easier to track how much time I put into specific tasks *each month and each year.* That level of analytics isn't available. I have Bonsai automatically send my invoices at the end of the month, but I wish that Bonsai could add in another piece of automation to add unbilled hours before sending. Currently, this isn't something I'm able to 100% delegate, and I wish this were an option.

The service is really great and has some perks that other services don't offer. the support is really good too, however it is plagued by some major and minor bugs across its app and web interfaces.

I am new to Bonsai (2 months in) and I am very impressed with the customer service. Bonsai is easy to use, quick to set up, and they offer many tips in their help center. I've tried multiple CRMs, Bonsai is definitely the one I'd recommend. I've been in contact with them for feature requests that are particular to coaches and their team has been very responsive to my requests. Even better, they set up a meeting with me to make sure they understood my requests on a deeper level.

The assistance has been quick & personable each time I’ve encountered an issue.

The customer service team was responsive and helped me resolve my issue quickly. However, I do not love the way that payouts are issued through Bonsai - I would prefer a system that provides more detailed updates and that either doesn't predict or can more accurately predict when I will receive my payout.

I've enjoyed using Bonsai for just under a year now. I've upgraded my account to include some of the extra features such as Accounting and Taxes. Thinking of upgrading to the Cash feature as well. Some of the features I wish it did better is the time tracking, some more contracting forms, and a simpler way to hire and work with contractors. They are actively adding new features - I'm sure it will be soon enough when they address these items

Overall bonsai is excellent and has helped me maximize efficiency as a freelance graphic designer. Time tracking, automation, invoicing and the ability to include both collaborators and clients in job flow and execution are all huge tools. Help desk has always been quick to respond, sort out any issues or questions, and make helpful suggestions. They keep improving the platform and adding features... the only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that their Cash and accounting add ons are still missing a couple of important features. Namely full integration with quickbooks (accounting), and the ability to cut checks (cash). Both things are in the works I believe and this will allow me to drop a bank account and take full advantage of accounting within Bonsai.
