I asked for a pdf or written script of my Rx almost 5 days ago and have not received it yet. Filled out the medical release form and emailed the team as well and no response. I am unable to get my medication without this

Extremely disorganized and chaotic. Their medal records request process is convoluted, and they ignore faxed requests from medical providers.

I started a Hello Alpha in August my experience was good until my provider was switched. In the beginning I had a provider by the name of Kathleen Moore and I was switched to Laura Downs. Laura didn’t provide the same level of care. Each appointment it was constant back and forth. It seemed more of a ego thing instead of listening to the patient and reviewing prior records.

Very difficult process and sort of a let down when the medication is either too expensive or not available. The communication process is very cumbersome to ask a question options are not specific. For the weight loss part of this I’d say it’s very stressful.

I started with Alpha back in August and was impressed with how efficiently they operated and how responsive they were. Fast forward to now, it has taken over 2 weeks to confirm whether my prescription has been transferred to their partner pharmacy. I have literally no idea what the status of my prescription is because Alpha hasn't responded to my messages in over a week, and I have yet to receive any communication from the pharmacy. Meanwhile, I have been off my medication for over two weeks and no idea when or whether I will be able to get back on. I know Alpha is experiencing a ton of new customer volume, and I'm willing to be patient for an otherwise very convenient service - but no response in over a week is unacceptable.

No help with weight loss

So I began Alpha Medical back in September. At the very beginning around them I was pushed to leave a disappointing review such as this one. When they finally were able to put me on the CORRECT medication it had taken about a month per their wait times which claim to be 24-48 hours max between RESPONSES. You could respond immediately to a simple question and have that problem. I have been on an anti diabetic drug with them since late September and have had great results with it. However, fast forward to beginning of December something had to have went wrong. I did my usually check in and they normally send the script in/renew it. Now I wait til my final vial of Ozempic is ready and go to pick up my medicine that says on their site has been sent in. There are no records of it being sent in besides the message from provider approving it. Frustrated, I wait a little before I reach out. Then it becomes a full week plus a couple days I’ve gone without it. Finally I try to pick up my Ozempic that said it was “in process” at pharmacy. They told me that they had reached out to my provider as soon as the Ozempic had gotten flagged for a prior authorization. They got no response from them, therefore I go on the site and do yet another follow up appointment. This follow up appointment went smoothly and I’m thinking I’m okay to pick up my meds. Well, now I get a notification from CVS my diabetic medication has somehow gone from 3 dollars to 995 dollars. Obviously I cannot afford that for one vial. They tell me the doctors at Hello Alpha still haven’t put in a prior authorization for. (Which I’ve had a prior auth since September- I actually had to resort to this medicine because it was the only one in the category of my insurance’s formulary list) So now it’s been two days since I’ve reached out and now I’m going on almost a week and a half of no medicine.. waiting for them to fix the problem that they haven’t even told me they acknowledged yet to begin fixing. I feel sick, my sugar is all over the place- I’ve had to build a tolerance to this medication and now this whole situation is going to take a huge toll on my body. My insurance is putting this situation on Alpha Medical at the moment, as like I said before- it is on the formulary med list. (List of meds my insurance covers) But like I said, good time span of no problems- until this huge one. The first messed up script was sent in around Dec 14th, the second messed up was Dec 24th and now the one where I now have the option to pick it up but the prior authorization is somehow not in place was January 9th. I haven’t had a refilled diabetic pen successfully picked up since Dec 8th. Horrible. Crossing my fingers this is solved before I feel any worse.

They were good before they switched to monthly billing. The day before thanksgiving I had reached out for something to be sent to the pharmacy, went to go pick it up because I was told it was sent and the pharmacy said they had tried to reach out several times to the doctor and there was no response.
