My issue with my local H-E-B, has nothing to do with poor customer service, I can, honestly, say that the level of service I received was set at a very high bar. I have become more aware of certain foods that have ingredients that are not natural, and even bioengineered. While the FDA seems to believe that these ingredients are safe, I am not so sure, and the labels used today are vague, to say the least. The more labels I read, tells me that many pre-made foods from the bakery and deli have “bioengineered ingredients”, and the labels are not much more specific beyond that phrase. After having a chat with a 28+ year bakery manager, I am resolved to keep reading the labels, because the use of less than natural ingredients will continue, for the time being.

I always enjoy my trips to my local H‑E‑B. Always fast and friendly. I am 70 years old and stopped at the new H‑E‑B in 1488 in Magnolia. I was on my way for a get together with some old classmates at a classmates home in Huntsville Texas. I picked up 3 large fruit trays for the party. I was very disappointed in the quality and flavor in it. Strawberries were really good but the rest lacked a lot to be desired. Watermelon was flavorless, cantaloupe was hard with little flavor, pineapple had some good and some hard pieces with little flavor, and the grapes were I guess fair. I was disappointed to say the least and I guess my classmates weren’t very impressed either because the first one (only one) that got opened was not even finished. There was 23 people there. Anyway I just wanted to make y’all aware.

in most cases I understand things better than most people as I used to work in a grocery store and know the things that happen. I also know that if you remove a product from the store, there should be a specific reason the store should be able to answer with, especially a manager. They stopped carrying Hill Country Fare Ice Cream at my HEB, where I had always been able to buy it and that it was $2 for a 1.5 qt.....it was affordable for me compared to the $7 for a 1/2 gal of Creamy Creations. They had apparently gone through a frozen area reset which I understand as I have gone thru them before, and understand why they're done. I asked a manager why they no longer had the HCF ice cream 1.5 qt and they were oblivious to why, guessing it was probably because they are a smaller store. There is another location 2 mi away that is smaller than my HEB and they carry it, so that answer was BS. Getting no where at the store, I messaged HEB on Twitter, who wanted my phone # and email, although I told them no if all they are gonna do is have someone at the store contact me...I told them I wanted to talk to someone at corporate, which they finally relented to having someone from customer relations email me back. After 2 weeks, I have heard NOTHING from ANYONE. They basically did what the store usually does and just blew me off. The standard answer at most stores (I have experienced this with various locations) is to tell you to goto another location if you can't find something at your normal location. Sorry I'm not driving somewhere else to get something I've always gotten at my HEB. Bottom line HEB doesn't care.....they only care about making money and bringing in a bunch of stuff to a store that no one cares about while getting rid of product many customer depend upon. They used to be a great store, but at this point I'm sure Florence Butt is rolling over in her grave as to how customers are treated. The statement from commercials of 'Here Everything's Better' is a flat out lie - it's merely a marketing stunt.

Typically I have a good experience at H-E-B. You guys always have what I need and the cashiers are always very nice. Tonight my cashier was Mia G on WW White. She didn’t say hello or smile but she was talking and I couldn’t figure out who she was talking to until I saw her phone by the register and it appeared she had an earpiece. She didn’t hear anything I said and didn’t say thank you. She was smiling, talking and laughing on her phone though. She may think no one notices but we all do. She made me feel invisible and unseen.

I like the way HEB have organized all the stuff. I am located in Lake Jackso, TX and HEB is my prefer supermarket. The reason of this review is to alert the HEB management and the consumer to be aware the articles under "cleareance" (the ones with a yellow sticker) sometimes (it happens to me at least four times and today I decided to inform in this review), are not correct located and "in my case" were taken with the "no cleareance price". I informed the customer service at the shop the time it happened to me, because I have the discipline to review the invoice when at home. But I have to go back to the store to claim and that take time.... Anyway, the opportunity is to put the yellow sticker covering the original price sticker, and in this way, at the cashier it will not be a problem.....The advice to the customer is to review all the time the invoices and check for mistakes...

I was tempted yesterday c as I shopped by your packaging of the HEB Flavors of Texas Beef Fajita Soup. I purchased one of the beef and one of the chicken. My husband tried the fajita. He was very disappointed! The soup was mostly Broth and peppers! There was a pretty good amount of the meat. There was a scant amount of black beans, corn, green bell pepper and no tomatoes! The flavor was almost ok after my husband doctored it up. Really a disappointment on the price of over $2.00 a container! Most HEB products are better than most other brands of food products. We are hoping the chicken will be better.. Thank you!
