Lifelong texan, heb employee of 22 years and heb shopper here. First off they have scrubbed the internet/google reviews of the ability to criticize them. Their heb frozen vegetables are beyond low quality, they opt for the lowest quality im assuming to save the consumer and themselves money, but plan on trashing a third of the frozen produce upon cooking. Inedible fibrous stalks of broccoli ,hard corn and peppers. Dont waste your money there, even walmart had better offerings. Their heb brand products are all EXTREMELY HIGH in sodium and preservatives. If you are food conscious read the labels. They prey on the uninformed, and if you care about what your family eats and your food budget then pay close attention to what you buy there. They also use sneeaky tactics in their coupobs and deals that will leave you paying more for products under the guise of a deal if making a multiple product purchase or 2 for deal.

Their store brand are the worst compared to other grocers. Don't waste your money. Avoid the almond pecan treasures cookies. Yuk ..

Just a warning about Hill Country Fare products which is the in-house brand. Their products have started using the same petroleum distillates and genetic product ingredients labeled TBHQ that are contained in the 12 cent ramen noodle bags. Their products, both regular and labeled "organic" have some of these products in them. So yeah. I won't be shopping HEB anymore.

I have ordered grocery pickup from the Frisco location multiple times and have not had too bad of a problem. The new McKinney store opened and I am getting expired meat and rotted vegetables that has to be thrown away. I do grocery pick up to help manage the grocery budget and save on time. Currently we spend 200 a week on groceries but if most of it has to be thrown away because someone cannot tell the difference from good or bad items, then we wint be using the store for shopping.

I recently moved to a different area - I always shop at H‑E‑B. My neighborhood has an H‑E‑B less than a mile away and I was thrilled! Unfortunately, I have found it to be the unfriendliest H‑E‑B I’ve ever been in. The people at the registers don’t bother to say hello and the people who bag the groceries are worse than that. I wondered if it was just the line I went through but since my first visit it’s just gone from bad to worse. Today I had to visit customer service. Now, I’m speaking about the H‑E‑B at the corner of 99 @ Champion Forest in Houston. The young lady who “helped” me was unfriendly. She clearly had no need to be friendly. No Hello, no smile, no how can I help you, not even thank you or have a nice day - Now I’m probably old fashioned; but it seems that someone who works day to day in customer service should exhibit a bit of enthusiasm even if she has to fake it. I just expect more from this company because My previous H‑E‑B’s that I’ve shopped in have spoiled me! I’ve always thought that H‑E‑B trains their employees so well and impresses them with the importance of friendliness. Sometimes I’ve had a bad day and the people there have made me smile and appreciate the tiny things they do that make you feel they care or maybe that they are happy and you should be too! I can’t describe to you how disappointed I am in this store. I’m going to need to find another one who appreciates my business. Going to the grocery store is Not the most fun thing to do but the levity the employees portray is an important part of their job. The name of the employee who I had contact today with was named Shay M. That was the name on my receipt. I hope that the situation in this store can be corrected. In any case I don’t think I will be back. Thank you for hearing me out.

I dropped in the Gonzales HEB to pick a something and paid for it with cash at the self-serve check-out, which BTW I'm really happy HEB is now providing! Anyway, after paid cash the young lady assisting had to ok something and called a manager over. Since I figured my part was done, I asked if I could leave, but she said no. Finally, a manager came and got it approved. There was no apology from either the young lady or manager. As trite and insignificant as this may seem, I was very offended, not so much from the events that took place, but just the overall lack of customer service. I am also a business owner and employ employees and blame overall management for this. Please begin mandating customer relations workshops for all employees. A little basic kindness will make all the difference and everyone's day just a little better!

I've shopped several times at the HEB Magnolia Place. Each time the employees have been standing gossiping. Today was know exception on the health food isle 2 employees stood in the way as they discussed boyfriends. As I checked out the cashier and sacker complained about how many people were scheduled to work. I'm sure this is management down because over several shopping trips this has been the MO of all employees I've encountered.
