HEB sells 5 gallon bottles of water. They charge a deposit for the 5 gallon bottle. I was told by an employee prior to purchasing the 5 gallon water bottles that the bottle deposits are refundable. A few months later, I brought the excess empty bottles in for a refund since I do not need as many as I had and I was told that HEB is only selling the 5 gallon bottles of water as a courtesy and if I want the bottle deposit refund that I had to contact the company that sells the water. I called Ozarka and they do not charge a bottle deposit and I would need to contact the store where I made the purchase for a refund. All of the HEB stores in my area refuse to give me the bottle deposit refund. None of the HEB stores have any signage stating the the deposits are not refundable. This is fraud. Who is pocketing the money if Ozarka does not charge a bottle deposit? I want my bottle deposit refund money back.

Received a 15 lb brisket with 9 lbs of intermuscular fat, which is non renderable. HEB selling it as Prime brisket, lol. After I properly butchered out the fat, I have 6 flank steaks. HEB not interested in refunding because I purchased it through Instacart delivery. They won't take responsibility either. Shouldn't have trusted someone else to pick out a brisket. I never would have bought this worthless POS. Too bad I can't post pics, you'd be shocked.

On August the 8th in Elgin Texas, I went to H-E-B grocery store to cash a check. Normally I don't even deal with H-E-B because they're just so racist and they held true to their standards. Cashier's check from a major Bank which is a Nations Bank the woman behind the counter heavyset white woman begin to question. As if I'm a criminal and she was a police officer, keep in mind I'm 63 years old dealing with a woman with a very racist attitude she continue to ask me questions that weren't even related to me cashing a check, finally I asked to speak to a manager she walked away slammed the door so hard to Glass almost broke, a course to manager he comes to and I said look I need an apology for the way that this woman talk to me never got an apology and he wouldn't cash the check either some , some crazy reason he didn't even look at the check and like I said it's a Nationwide Bank which is in Texas , I would like a apology, and I told the manager I wanted an apology. But you know the thing with racist people they feel that they don't waste have to apologize for anything, it's their American Way. I've shopped in that store before and stop shopping and it because of their attitudes the demeanor there are rudeness just you name it yes. And yes I am a Afro-American. And yes the racism is , off the chain and Americans continue to get away with it, I would like an apology

I have never had a bad experience at an HEB. But I did today. I tried to redeem 3 glass gallon milk jugs. One was from a different milk producer but I bought it at the HEB in Waxahachie. Ashley and Alyson at the Ennis HEB wouldn’t accept it. Even tho I bought it at HEB. Then Ashley was exceedingly rude. She should be fired

For weeks, my dog Nova and I sat peacefully outside the BBQ patio of H-E-B. He lay quietly beneath the table, never begged, never barked. Just resting in the shade—our little ritual of survival in the Texas heat. Then one manager came back from vacation and decided to make an example of us. He waited for me to go upstairs to load my card, then called two cops to corner and trespass me—for nothing. No disruption. No complaint. No reason—except the satisfaction of watching a disabled, houseless veteran and his calm service dog get removed from the only grocery store I can walk to. The officers mocked me. The manager smiled. It wasn’t about safety. It was about power. Now I’m banned from getting food or shade in my own neighborhood. I have to take buses for hours just to eat—because one man wanted to play God for a day. This isn’t just cruelty. It’s policy with a badge and a barbecue apron. You can do better, H-E-B. You need to do better.

Glass in HEB products!!! I pulled glass out of my mouth after eating HEB thick cut bacon. 11 Year old daughter swallowed the glass and had x-rays. HEB didn't care and did nothing about it after informing them.

Spend $600 on groceries then they want to dictate I’m parked 3 ft farther than they will allow me to carry the cart. So I get stopped in the middle of a crosswalk and have to hand carry 35 bags of groceries. Unsafe. Shopped my last shop there. People will tell 2-3 people about great experiences but I’ll tell this story to everyone until the day I die.
