This is the most enjoyable training I have ever had. I love the fact that I can always go back and review. It has already made a different in the sound I always wanted. I am a Happy Camper
At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop.We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. Our specialized approach teaches students to hear recurring themes in songs and interpret them creatively on the piano.Over the years, we have reached and serviced more than 2 million musicians through various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, our email newsletter, free lessons, comprehensive paid courses, and a personalized coaching program. Our resources are designed to cater to learners at different stages of their musical journey, from beginners to advanced players.Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center is more than just a teaching platform; it's a community where musicians come together to share, learn, and celebrate the joy of music. I love the way the 100's are broken down so amazingly well. Jermaine and the other guy really break things down to my level. I am really motivated by their teaching.

Ms Brittany was wonderful! I have learned many things and I like the pace. Things that make me feel uncomfortable: 1)there are so many groups that I am over whelmed. 2) communicating in class is a struggle. Example: I turn on my microphone, I try and be quiet then when the instructor asks for a comment, I comment and the mod has turned off your microphone and you didn’t know it. I have started using hand motions so that Ms Brittany knows I didn’t die.😂. That is frustrating to me. I have just gone into the tech room on Thursday to find out how to raise my hand. I am happy that I took 2 months of classes and want to finish my year, but don’t see the option to do that! Maybe someone could tell me if that is possible.

HearAndPlay has been innovative, inspirational, challenging and supportive. The program is so engaging and it is lively interactive. While I had some knowledge of music HearAndPlay move by playing beyond notation to actually making music. May not be ready for the stage or Sunday service but I am growing daily. Thank you Bro. Hear and Play has been one of the best applications on the internet today. No matter what Gospel /Christian song you want to learn, you can find it here. And not only do you learn the song but you learn how it applies to other songs as well.

Erica Wilcox Hear and Play Program is an excellent program to learn and develop your piano skills. The concepts and techniques you’re taught and trained are absolutely amazing 🤩. When I started this journey in the program I knew zero, maybe where C is on the piano. My family and friends are shocked as to how much I have learned. The Director, Coaches and Staff are the best. The program also offer you a bundle of classes and workshops to attend for growth and development. I highly recommend this program to anyone that has a desire to learn piano as a beginner and others that already play and want to play at a greater level in piano. You will not be disappointed in this program.

At this time I would give a low rating not because of their methods of teaching. From the workshops' attended the teaching sessions have been outstanding. What is disappointing I have had two different times scheduled to find out information about the VIP program with confirmation emails concerning my appointment by a phone call, only not to get the call based on a scheduled appointment. This does concern me regarding commitment on their part. Left messages and texted as instructed but no response.

Hi Ms Henrietta, thanks so much for your review. In looking into your record, we've seen a couple past appointments from 2025 to this year, and they have all determined the program wasn't a right fit. As we say on the workshops, if you've spoken to us in the past, there is no need to book another appointment. Just keep enjoying the free workshops. As you've clearly enjoyed those, that would be the recommendation here. Our team is small and we simply cannot entertain repeat calls that have already led to past conclusions. However, we will make sure to check in as to why you weren't notified the call wouldn't commence (our apologies). Blessings to you in your musical endeavors.
