At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop.We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. Our specialized approach teaches students to hear recurring themes in songs and interpret them creatively on the piano.Over the years, we have reached and serviced more than 2 million musicians through various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, our email newsletter, free lessons, comprehensive paid courses, and a personalized coaching program. Our resources are designed to cater to learners at different stages of their musical journey, from beginners to advanced players.Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center is more than just a teaching platform; it's a community where musicians come together to share, learn, and celebrate the joy of music. Great curriculum

It started on time. People entering the chat were acknowledged but not ad nauseum. The information provided covered a range of levels with music vocabulary, patterns, and theory that *differentiated across levels and levels of understanding. I also appreciated the extension of paced support with the recorded video that each participant would be sent, following the session.

IT was very nice to get an actual lesson I am ill and 88 years old. On a good day I will practice what I was given

Looks like there are a lot of seniors taking the courses like myself and I appreciate the patience and time they are taking to show the route in learning. Clarity is so important and I'm getting that.

I appreciate that theory is being taught along with explanations of how music is put together, lm learning to play many songs with simple chord patterns. I'm beginning to see progress after so many years of being stagnant. That's very encouraging.

I joined this program several months ago, and I am super impressed with how many songs I can play. I am playing the songs not from memory but from the theoretical principles I learnt in the program.
