I am a 44 year old male who has suffered with anxiety severley since 26.. Its cost me my career and i suppose lots of options. I was always on the guard for people trying to capitalise out of my condition... But headspace, £60 quid, 1 year, affordable therapy, and the noting technique is worth pursuing, its no wonder fix, but a tool well worth having.

The best meditation app , Get headspace and it will change your life as it did mine !

I like this app. It is basically encouraging you to sit down and meditate for 15-20 minutes but what I like about it is the little explanations before each meditation. I suffer from anxiety and recently this got worse so bought the app. I have tried everything from acupuncture to reflexology but have found no definitive solution. I think apps like this have a place but are unfortunately not the panacea one might hope for. Initially my anxiety felt worse and I was worried that letting go of my emotions and not suppressing them might be a frightening experience. But things did improve and a wider range of memories and emotions found room alongside my anxiety. I’m hopeful this space might grow and I relearn how to be calm and harness my emotions and thoughts for greater health.

I can't say enough good things about this app. I have a history of depression and am going through quite a difficult time at present. I saw a poster at the local GP promoting Headspace. Headspace really has helped me train the mind and put things into perspective. The animations are also wonderful and quite uplifting. I paid £40 for the annual subscription as I found a discount code, but you can also get a more limited version for free. Some people may say £40 is a lot of money but we wouldn't think twice about paying that for a month's gym membership, and surely our mental health is just as important as our physical health.

I have been using this app for a while now. I was a meditation Virgin. My daily life challenged, by a daughter with mental health issues, a decline in my mobility due to illness and my own mental health problems. I had reached a point where I was just ‘existing’ in life. The meditation exercise have transformed the way in which I now view things. My life problems may understandably may not have gone away but I am now able to confidently sit with the issues. Acknowledging things which I can’t change and staying in the moment with them. I approach my family differently. In a calmer and intuitive way. My sleep is improving too. I took some advice and went and purchased a Bluetooth pillow which I use when I first go to bed. Able to access the sleep meditation session without disturbing my partner. Initially this won’t feel a breeze as it is something which you need to make time for and be committed too. But day by day you start to feel your groove and you then start to cherish the sessions as ‘me’ time. It gets easier and your brain starts to broaden and to relax. Recently, when in a traffic jam in my car I found myself naturally starting the deep breathing. This felt autonomous and a comfortable thing to do. Like putting your comfy slippers on. 5* headspace team ! 😊

Use it you won't regret it

Hi, I am Danish, and I was not sharp enough to get that it was all in English. And I could not get my money back. I can understand the man who is speaking and I love his voice... But what I do not like is that I cannot get rid off the sleep meditation and the app wants me to share it on Facebook all the time which I will not. I think that my poor English has been a little expensive for me because I just wanted a month subskription but I got a year. All the best, Jenny Rytter

Went through the 10 day trial and it was great. Checked out their website for pricing and it turned out that I should never have done this. After checking out the website, I have been bombarded by remarketing ads wherever I go on the internet and it is very frustrating. I have gone from thinking that the headspace voice is calm and relaxing to associating it with annoying ads whenever I want to watch a YouTube video. At this moment I am trying out headspace premium and even though I have the upgraded version, the ads persist. For the love of God, please make them stop.
