I ordered a champagne and artisanal meat and cheese basket from Hazelton's Gift Baskets, which I am now learning is run by The Gift Group, to be delivered to my parents house for their retirement. First, it did not arrive on the delivery day I selected, but rather two days early. I wanted it delivered on that specific day so that my parents could open it as a surprise while we all did a Zoom call to celebrate. Not a single item received matched what is listed in the product description. The basket didn't even have any meat in it and it was supposed to be a MEAT AND CHEESE basket. The cutting board and knives were not included. The items that were substituted were not comparable at all to what was supposed to be in the basket. This is an absolute joke. I wrote to customer service asking for a refund or delivery of the actual basket that I ordered and they said no because all the substitutions were "similar" items and that I agreed to this before purchasing but these items are not similar. It was clearly a canned response probably because they get these kinds of complaints all the time. When my mother sent me a picture I was mortified because of how wrong everything was. They gave them pasta. What the heck does pasta have to do with a meat and cheese basket?! They also included some kind of pepper jelly but nothing that made sense to eat it with like crackers. I wrote a review on their website and of course it's hidden because of how bad it is. They have an F with the BBB and terrible reviews on Google and other sites as well. Please avoid like the devil.

I bought a gift basket but they sent the wrong one and they sent it earlier. there were not even similar products. I paid for other products and the surprise for my boyfriend was ruined. the products were dry. I contacted the company and they told me that once I accepted the terms and conditions of product substitution, I could no longer claim. I do not understand why they offer products online if they do not exist. I'm really disappointed I wasted my money

This company is a complete scam! I'm contacting the BBB. I wish that had seen these reviews before wasting money that they have stolen from me! 🤬🤬🤬 They will not respond to your emails or phone calls! This site needs to be shut down immediately. #thanksforreading

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I did not do my due diligence when researching the company prior to buying a gift basket from them, unfortunately. They send 3 of the 10 items listed and of low quality. I also paid extra for a plant which was never included. It was impossible to get any customer service on the phone as well, you jump right into VM and never get a call back. Big scam. Do your research, and find another reputable company. And read the reviews before ordering!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I ordered the Wine Cart Gift Basket with cheese and crackers, wine glasses and truffles plus plus. Delivered were Italian Pasta and mustard dip. Only the bottle of wine was the one I ordered. Hazeltons answered that I had automatically agreed to their substitution policy by placing the order. This is a total rip-off because the substitution is worth less than what I‘ve paid for. Plus I paid 15 bucks for a a delivery exactly in my brother- in- law‘s birthday (otherwise delivery would have been free) and the present came two days late. Martina from Germany

Wow. Wish I had looked here before ordering. They are a total scam. Half the items never arrived in the basket, and the ones that did looked like they were bought from the dollar store. They count on the fact that you rarely see the final product because you’re sending it to someone else.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! They are a COMPLETE SCAM. We ordered a gift basket consisting of wine (upgraded), cheese, olive oil and a cutting board and knife to be delivered to Ireland. We later discovered that Hazelton's ordered a completely different basket under the company name 'Gift Baskets Overseas' online from an Irish company (Hampers and Co) that was half of the value of what we paid. Instead of olive oil and cheese, the basket delivered had apples and oranges - in fact not a singe item in the basket we ordered was present in the hamper delivered! We also paid for the delivery charge to Ireland, yet the hamper ultimately was ordered from and delivered by an Irish company - therefore no delivery charge required! Hazelton's customer service took several weeks to reply (their website states all emails are replied to within 24 hours) and you cannot speak to anyone on the phone - you can only leave a message for them to 'reply' by email. Needless to say, they are not compensating us for the extra money spent, or accepting that the subsitutions made were in fact not 'of equal or greater value' as stated in their terms and conditions. Also don't be fooled by the 'good' reviews on their website - all reviews must be approved by the company before they are made public. Overall an extremely disappointing experience and we will definitely not be ordering from Hazelton's ever again - there are many more ethical companies out there!

My gift basket was poorly packaged. It arrived damaged and inedible. Hazeltons refused to respond to multiple emails. I called repeatedly to their number - totally unable to reach anyone. I left a message each time and they have never responded.
