Do not waste your money. This is a bait and switch operation with small print that you supposedly agree to their “substitutions and no refunds policies” although I never agreed to a totally different product that was likely bought cheap at a local grocery store! Pure garbage. My sister said it looks like the items were from the dollar store, everything was substituted which means they really didn’t have the product I was ordering at all!

The item in the picture was high dollar in presentation. The basket received was dime store quality. The specialty items I added were not included. When I reached out to customer service their response was quick with "In these situations, we carefully replace unavailable items with similar products of equal or greater value to complete the order without delay. The degree of substitution can vary, and in rare cases, the entire contents of a gift may differ from what was originally shown". NOT the case with what was received by the recipient. Will put Hazleton's on the bench.

Update: Hazelton diplomatically responds to my review, while in the background, their customer service is unwilling to admit that their service was problematic. I do feel sorry for the customer service people who need to work in a company like this. I'm asking the person who replied to this review to check order no HU51284769 and respond to my email. I hope they do. There's is still time to listen to your customer's feedback. It's not about the refund, it's about your approach to customer experience and the gifting industry. Initial Message: Stay away! I have ordered 9 items as Thanksgiving gifts for our employees. They delivered substitutes without notifying me due to the high volume of orders. The substitutes were so bad aesthetically that I was embarrassed. The team sent me pictures of the baskets. The items looked so low in quality and had nothing to do with the well-presented basket Hazeltons advertised on their website. When I complained to customer service, they kept repeating that I'm not entitled to a refund and kept quotting their policy: If we realize a product you've ordered is out of stock or unavailable, the item(s) will be substituted with a similar item(s) of EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE; doing so ensures that your order is still delivered in a timely manner. Please understand that the UTMOST CARE and ATTENTION is given to orders to ensure they are as similar as possible to the one placed, despite the adjustments made. Substitutions are actually quite common within the gifting and gift basket industry, as products are constantly fluctuating on an ongoing basis after product details and photos have been published on our website. Due to the high volume of orders being processed, we are not always able to contact customers ahead of time to advise them about substitutions." DON'T EXPECT THEM TO DELIVER WHAT YOU ORDERED. DON'T EXPECT A REFUND. THEY WON'T NOTIFY YOU BEFORE CHANGING THE ITEMS. WILL YOU TAKE THE RISK?

Our out of town friends recently got engaged and since we couldn't be there for the engagement party, we wanted to send a nice bottle of champagne & flowers! Well... the flowers arrived moldy and half dead. It was such a disappointment and honestly so embarrassing. Not only for us but for Hazelton's too. Their customer service was just like "oops, you should have done next day delivery & this wouldn't have happened". I selected the day that I wanted it delivered and it arrived almost a week later... You would think a company that delivers FLOWERS would have this dialed in a bit more. Total waste of money, and just grateful our friends are easy-going people because that was totally gross and disappointing. Never ordering again :) **Edit: I also have now received confirmation that the Champagne in the basket was not the one that I selected (Veuve Cliquot substituted for a generic Cava... not even a champagne & no where near the same price point as Veuve..) so that's just great! Really well done, Hazelton's, being open and honest and having ethics is totally something business shouldn't do!

I’m really disappointed with my recent order from Hazelton’s Gift Baskets. The gift basket arrived damaged, and the presentation looked extremely sloppy — nothing like what was advertised. On top of that, many of the snacks inside looked and tasted cheap, which completely defeated the purpose of sending a “premium” gift. What frustrated me even more was the customer service I was told that if they don’t have certain items in stock, they simply replace them with whatever they choose without notifying the customer first. That’s a terrible policy, especially when you’re paying a high price and expecting quality and accuracy. Overall, the basket I received felt low-quality, poorly assembled, and not worth the money. I wouldn’t order from Hazelton’s again based on this experience. They don't refund kept apologizing but no resolution was offered they should be reported for scamming people and stealing money

The gift basket arrived two days later than promised, and every item within it was swapped out with inferior brands. Even the hexagonal cutting board was swapped out for a rectangular one. This was a bad experience, and I would avoid this company.

Completely misleading on their website about delivery times. I paid an exorbitant fee for 2 day delivery. I spoke with customer service and they changed their story every time about their definition of 2 day delivery (item ordered on Friday and was delivered on a Wednesday). They wouldn’t reimburse for the ridiculous express fee. Way to trick your customers and alienate a potential future purchase.

I provided the company with pictures and video. No place to upload pictures here. This wine, fruit, and cheese basket was for my Aunt who turned 100 on Halloween. The basket did not arrive on the date specified. I asked for a refund of 117.00 minus the bottle of wine. They want me to pay for the basket the items came in and two packages of crackers. My aunt can't eat the basket. And I wonder about the crackers self life. All the fruit and cheese was bad. They only want to refund $42.00. The company says the wine was $35 (overpriced). My Aunt wasn't able to enjoy anything from this basket. This was very disappointing. The company only cared about keeping as much of my money as they could. They didn't even offer to send a replacement. I would give 0 stars if I could.
