I’ve had good experience with Hayu’s customer service, it their web player and app don’t work properly. I can never get past certain parts of episodes, and there’s episodes of various real housewives franchises that I’ve never seen because they just don’t play. I’ve reported this to Hayu loads of times and always get the same generic response back, but they never improve. It’s actually worse now than it was before. I have only started to subscribe in the last couple of weeks and while they seem to offer a good selection of the reality tv that I like to watch, I am finding it really difficult to use their website. Even something simple like turning on closed captions is next to impossible. If Netflix wasn't so out of options I would not have gone past the 7 day trial with this service.

Ive been trying almost 3 weeks for help signing into my app, still they got it wrong, no answer back since last week!

Hayu has tons of great TV shows, but it's not a platform you can rely on. When I go to watch a show, I never know if I will actually be able to watch it/play it properly or not. It's such a shame. The download option rarely works for me and has never let me download more than two episodes at a time. Other than that, even when I'm playing the show using wifi half the time an error code will pop up and I can't play it. They really need to work on the streaming technology they are using.

Hayu, at least in the UK, is lucky it has no real competitors that show complete seasons of Real Housewives & similar. It’s the buggiest streaming service around, and I regularly find myself googling “is Hayu down?” because it’s not working. I’m sat on a train right now, having downloaded two episodes, ready to watch with limited signal, and the downloads simply won’t load. Ironically I’ve resorted to watching YouTube with poor signal, which works, over pre-downloaded but totally inaccessible content. I’m a longtime subscriber, and as soon as another app comes along that offers the same shows, I’m out. It’s not all terrible - watching my fave US shows in one place is great, but as a paying customer of a service that has been around for years, I’m not impressed. 2/5 is a fair star rating.

I am only using this app because Below Deck Mediterranean disappeared from the Peacock app on Sky Q. Then Channel 4 says it is bringing the program to their channel not series 5 or 6 though. It annoys me that on Sky Q a series can suddenly stop mid series and no more episodes. Anyway I saw that you can get Below deck on Hayu. So I thought yeap we can watch series 5-6 and then flip back to Channel 4. Hayu is the worst app on the planet if not the universe. 1 doesn’t play the correct next episode sometimes it is either the previous episode or 2 episodes down. 2 on the chromecast the app freezes when you want to disconnect from the app and you are left gaining into the next app. 3 Ad free. No it isn’t. Before each episode you get a 2 minute video of what you are or aren’t missing with millionaires who I don’t give a **** about. I am only watching because you can’t get 5-6 of below deck on terrestrial TV.

I subscribed to watch below deck and now I can only watch season 10 with an additional stack tv subscription. Not happy.

I just hate that after your show finishes, it autoplays other content endlessly. It specifically plays really old shows from E1. This is repetitive and annoying, but the thing that really bothers me is my laptop will run for hours and hours after the show I selected ends. I usually fall asleep to an episode, and sometimes wake up 8 hours later and my laptop is still running. This is shortening the life of my laptop for a stupid app and content I never even selected to play.
