Harbor freight started back in 1978 selling name brand reconditioned tools as well as cheaper tools and tarps from china. Since then harbor freight has created a line of tools that are good, better and for the professional. You get what you pay for so if you buy a warrior product and it doesn’t last that long that’s on your cheap ass fault not HTF! There are certain tools you buy and others that you stay away from like their yard tools like rakes. Over the last forty years I have purchased many tools that still work today but I’m an educated consumer and realize what to buy and dont. Two years ago I bought my second 20vt Bauer sprayer on sale and payed for the $9.00 ext warranty. I am aware that certain chemicals in a sprayer can destroy the machine. Right before the end of the second year the sprayer motor stopped working. Thanks to HFT $9.00 extended warranty they sent me a new one without expecting me to return the broken one no questions asked. I wouldn’t recommend extended warranties on all their tools except the machines you may use a lot like power washers, chemical sprayers etc… HFT Hercules brand and their icon brands are comparable to the name brand professional products like Dewalt tools with a 3 year warranty on batteries which is better than Milwaukee. Icon ratchets and sockets are comparable to the Snap-on Tool’s at a 10th of the cost of Snap on. Sure Snap-on Tool‘s are great, but if you want to be a professional and in constant debt to the tool man go ahead. Tools are an investment for a professional career, but don’t forget Tools depreciate. You cant go wrong buying certain tools from HFT for the quality and price!

I was looking for 50 casters for some band props, and stopped into the Easley location. The cashier was extraordinarily helpful and genuine. He determined that they only had 7 casters at that location, and called the Seneca location to confirm they had enough. I waited while the cashier was on hold...handling other customers in line..multi tasking like a pro. He let me know those casters were in fact available in Seneca. When I arrived at Seneca, that cashier asked "are you the guy with the casters?" Casters were already boxed and taped for me when I got there (I did not expect that). She was fantastic as well. Their personality default setting was friendly and helpful , which is rare any more. Huge kudos to these kids and Harbor Freight

I upgraded my 9500 inverter generator to there 11500 to learn it can’t take a surge of 6kw without throwing the breaker on the unit, that’s a far cry from the claimed 11.5 kw it’s rated for and there customer service refused to do anything about it because it was 120 days old and they only provided a 90 day warranty what a joke for a 2000 dollar item. The delay in me testing further was due the illness from chemotherapy and radiation therapy I spent almost three months bedridden. There fix for it is for me to take it to a shop 2+ hours away from my home and for me to pay for whatever repairs it may need. I reached out to corporate and explained the situation. I received a call the following Sunday from a representative regarding the issue. At this time I provided a video showing what the unit was doing. The representative went to work on the problem and got the unit exchanged at no cost. They went out of there way to make it right. The replacement unit passed my load tests with flying colors

My husband and I are not very experienced with DIY home renovation projects. In the past, we always hired professionals, but with the rising costs of labor and materials, we decided to take on a paving project ourselves. We have purchased materials and tools from several home improvement stores over the years, including Lowe's, Home Depot, Busy Beaver, and Menards. Unfortunately, our recent experiences with Lowe's and Home Depot were disappointing. While store associates were generally polite, we often found it difficult to get knowledgeable advice about the best tools and materials for our project. In addition, a large paving stone order from Lowe's turned into a frustrating experience due to damaged materials and lengthy delays in resolving the issue. Our experience at Harbor Freight Tools in Washington, Pennsylvania was completely different. The employees took the time to understand our project and recommended the right tools for our masonry and paving work. They clearly explained how each tool worked, the advantages of different options, and why it might make sense to invest a little more in certain tools based on the scope of our project. We left feeling informed, confident, and appreciated as customers. The staff's knowledge and willingness to help made a significant difference for us. We will definitely return to this location for future projects and highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who are new to DIY work.

I’ve been going there for about 5 years and I have seen and felt how much they improved. I still have tools to this day like the improved jack stands. You’re an idiot if you don’t come here from time to time

Sure. I went in for a highlift jack, around indy they call it a farm jack or tractor jack same thing to me. Staff was quick and short. Got me in and out. That's what I needed. The tool was a little pricey from the ones I've bought in the past , time is a fickle beast. They allowed me to go and get my truck so I could pull up to the door while a sales associate tossed the jack in the back like a well orchestrated late night pick up of the goods. And down the street I went...taillights.
