I would give 0 stars if the option was available. I stopped into the North Syracuse, New York, store where I’ve been a regular customer since moving to this area almost 4 years ago. I’ve always been treated very nicely and I have received exceptional customer service from Melissa the store manager which kept me coming back when I needed something tool wise. My last experience there was horrible, the two gentlemen were extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. After waiting almost 15 minutes to get someone to wait on me and having them talk to me and treat me the way they did I walked out of the store. I will never return to that store again.

I had asked a floor person who was standing in the office doorway talking to a manager where to find a specific item because my disabled Viet Nam husband could not go in because they don’t have rideable carts. He pointed and told me where to find it , well I over looked it and went back to ask him again where said order was and again he said on the right hand side and pointed down the isle. Thankfully I found the products and then called my husband on the phone because he was waiting in the truck and he talked me through what exactly to buy. So on my way to the checkout I stopped by the door and asked if I looked like I knew what I was looking for. Then started the checkout process and up came the manager and snotty attitude and said “ you know you can ask for help “ , um excuse me I asked two times where to find the product and I thought that would be the first clue I needed help. And yes I said a swear word and she stood by the register with her authoritative body language with her arms crossed and a condescending smile and had a comment about she had the right to refuse the sale if I continued to swear which I did not and I asked to just be checked out so I could leave and she had a big smirk on her face and I felt bad for the cashier because he didn’t know what to do. I Will Never Be Back In Your Store Again. She could’ve just stayed in the office until I left but she came out to make a Confrontation . Poor Custumer Service and Treatment. My purchase amount was $62.50

Cheap tools cheap stuff, but I happened to stop here (Rancho Cucamonga location) because I really needed a string trimmer. Anyway I found one that wasn't exactly what I wanted but it was cheap enough so I went to take the model to see how heavy it is. They have it zip tied to the display. So I tried multiple times to figure out a way to get it down because as anyone who does yard work knows that the way you hold it and how you move with it the weight can feel very different. Especially if you're older or not very strong, or if you have physical limitations, you need to be able to put it in the position where you'd be using it to see how it feels. One of the employees came over and asked if I needed help. I said yes I need to feel the string trimmer I need to get it down to see if it will work for me. She says she can't remove the display despite the fact that it only had one stupid plastic zip tie that she could have cut, she picks the box up and says..." well this is it in a box." Well no duh... I can see that. Typical patronizing attitude. I tell her again that I need to feel it and hold it in the position because they are bottom heavy and I need to see if I can handle it because I have a bad knee and a bad shoulder and how you hold it makes a difference. She sticks to her position refuses to cut the zip tie or give me any option to try it, so I start walking out. She then says again...with a straight face... that you could just pick up the box and see how heavy it is. It's like the lights on but nobody's home...just not getting it. I put the other $100 worth of other stuff that I planned to buy on the floor and walked out. This place needs to learn how to treat people. If stealing is such a problem that you can't remove a display item for a customer to try it then hire freaking security. No customer should be treated like this. It must be wonderful to have no mobility issues and make someone feel even worse about theirs when all they wanted was a yard tool. I hope someday when this employee ages she is treated with the same ignorance and disrespect.

Bought the generator. Got it home. Filled oil and gas. Started on the 5th pull. Thinking that’s good. Run 30 seconds. Gas started running off of my tailgate. Had a bad leak somewhere that poured gas. Put back in box. Back to store. Absolutely worst experience with store manager. Refused any solution other than exchange or return with 20% restocking fee. They charged me 160.00 to return it. Never buy a gas anything from Harbor Freight.

Is anyone really falling for this ridiculous nonsense? I looked online for specials and found some, drove to the store 30 miles round trip at $5 a gallon for gas (in WA state), only to find out I was on a day that was reserved for (new to me) InsideTrack Club, but the same sale was available for the next day for everyone? Seriously, people are paying $30 a year to buy cheap stuff a day before the sale is available for all, isn't this defeating the purpose? No way am I going to pay more to give them more information about myself (I already had an email membership of some kind with them)? I don't shop here to pay more, I shop here to pay less ~ Shame on Harbor Freight, but then they wouldn't be doing this if people didn't join in to the stupidity! I'll think twice about making a special trip to HF and consider paying just a bit more for the same stuff or better where I am already shopping. An awful experience to say the least.

Have purchased many things from harbor freight in that past with varying success. Recently decided to upgrade toolboxes. Checked online and shipping was extremely high so went to store for purchase and now waiting an excessive amount of time for delivery. Was told in store 2 to 4 weeks, it's been that long and now being told 6 to 8 weeks. So either pay extremely high shipping fee or wait extremely long time.

Went to harbor freight tools on garden Street Titusville Florida and for pex lock tool and the employees and associates they didn't even know what it was. Very unfriendly and. unknowledgeable employees. The corporate needs to train the employees at least to great and be nice to the customers. Thank you.
