This is a unAmerica company! Do not shop here. There product are cheap and they steal their customers money hiding it as restocking fees. The air compressor I purchased did not even last hour, so obviously I don’t want another one and they charge me a 20 percent restocking for a broken compressor. So they plan on restocking and selling to somebody else? You can’t make this stuff up. The staff don’t care about the customers. Call headquarters and they don’t care. The business needs to go out of business. We deserve better.

Bought a wheeled mechanics stool. Shortly after, the seat welds broke and the user was dumped on the floor. HF has a recall for this problem, but this stool, although made rhe same as the other ones was denied because of a SKU number difference. I compared our broken stool to the sample pictures in the recall notice, and saw no differences, and our stool looked like the sample recall picture. Both were broken at the shabby spot welds. So the HF SKU # is more important than consumer product safety. I Set it out for trash and after several days only a metal scrapper looked twice! So much for the HF profuct quality and guarantees!

I am a long-time customer and I used to believe this business ranked 5 stars based on decent products and prices. That changed on July 18th when I purchased a Pressure Washer. It was defective from the box. Upon returning it for an exact exchange, I was informed there were no more available in that model at that location. I was told that I could drive to another location and they "might" have one available for replacement. The other location is almost 30 miles away and I didn't have time to drive that far so I was given a refund that charged me $50 Restocking Fee. How can you charge a restocking Fee for a defective item which Will Not be restocked. I attempted to speak to the manager who was very dismissive and seemed bothered that I would question that policy. He stated that he could not deviate from the policy under any circumstances. I wanted an exchange, they could not provide one but still charged a loyal customer over a defective product. I contacted the Customer Service line and was told it was the policy, but the manager has discretion to over-ride and provide a full refund. They have lost many customers due to this as I have notified all of my family and friends of this issue. Mr. Smidt, your company wasn't built on shabby or non-existent customer service, but it will be greatly harmed by it .

My son sent me to Harbor freight with a list. . the one in Orangeburg SC.could not get help, was told by one employee what I was looking for was on the back wall somewhere. Couldn't reach it. I went to the office I saw people in there.asked the manager for help. He literally got up and started screaming at me that they were getting ready for inventory and didn't have time to help.screaming this has to be done,we can't tell him them we had to help a customer. After that I just asked a customer if he could help me with the other stuff on my list. I will never go back to that store. I would rather pay double and travel 20 miles out of my way to some store that has customer service. And is polite and friendly. Shame on you for treating a senior lady that way.

Front drawer panel was broken in 2 places. I live 40 miles away in a small town. They told us to bring back after we had already put it together. They offer no discount or replacement part. I am 63 so loading would be a challenge, in addition to another 80 miles. I WILL NOT BE Shopping AT HARBOR FREIGHT EVER GAIN! I spent $200 there, no customer service.

They made a mistake on my purchase and tried to refund the gift card that I used. The gift card does now accept refunds and they said sorry nothing we can or will do about it.

Fix their shelf tags to be consistent with their coupon ads and (don't bait and switch like they did on the 11 inch plier set that are on sale now, one has coupon , the other one does not). This is not by accident. This is on purpose to trick the customer. Two separate pliers look IDENTICAL? , but only one has a coupon in phone not on shelf. Shelf tag does not identify it whatsoever. The consumer does not know he didn't get the coupon price until he looks at the customers receipt later on. Thus , explaining why they're returned policy is so good. That makes sense. PS, I HAVE BEEN IN RETAIL FOR FORTY YEARS, AND (I HAVE NEVER SEEN SHELF TAGS AND PRODUCT PLACEMENT, SO MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE.IN MY LIFE)... I DARE SAY THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING ILLEGAL ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING. IF NOTHING ELSE , IT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT THOROUGHLY...
