Disappointed with the lack of replacement parts. I bought a tool here less than a year ago and have only used it about four times. Now that it needs a minor fix, I've been told Harbor Freight doesn't carry or supply repair parts for it. It feels incredibly wasteful to have a nearly brand-new tool become completely useless just because basic parts aren't supported. Customer service was polite, but they ultimately couldn't help me fix a tool I just bought. Their customer service just dismissed me with the reply, just keep checking back every few weeks and maybe we will get some parts. Seems you could be out of luck if you didn't buy their extended warranty. Bauer 20V Cordless Shear Shrubber 4in blade jammed .

I purchase the Inside Track Club 2…
I purchase the Inside Track Club 2 different times. The problem is that when I go to purchase the members only deals, they are out of stock for the item that I want. I have complained about this a few times now and am in the process trying to get a refund the Members Only. When I call, I am told that because of the high-volume calls that they will call me back. That, so far has not worked after 2 attempts. So I called and waited for so one to answer and never did after a long time so had to hang up. I will never buy that item again nor can I recommend it to anyone else.

No socket release button …
I bought an Icon socket and ratchet set. The quality is good except one major problem. The rachet does not have a socket release on it so I have to use a screw driver to pry off the sockets. Very frustrating and make the tool very difficult to use. I never would have bought it had I realized the socket release was missing

My complaint concerns the 20% restocking fee, no exceptions.
My complaint concerns the restocking fee which I believe is policy for all Harbor Freight stores. The particular store where I made my purchase is in Port Charlotte, FL My issue with the return policy is that I was penalized around a hundred dollars for defective items; the Predator 4375 generator specifically. My initial purchase unit failed within 3 days, backfiring and then would not start. I returned this unit and the 2nd generator failed within 2 days, exhibiting the exact same issue; backfire and then no start up. I returned the generator and declined another replacement, I told the customer service person; why would I go through all that again? when he informed me of the restocking fee I protested and had the manager come out who confirmed the fee, and that there would be no exceptions made, in spite of both generators being clearly defective. I was irate at this point, what kind of business would put a customer through the pain and aggravation of returning an item twice, both of which were clearly defective, and then penalize them even further with an exorbitant restocking fee. Over the entire course of my life, having worked with many small gasoline engines, I have never seen even one fail, let alone two brand new units. I feel like there is something going on here, the random failure of these engines is just about inexplicable. Also there were items with the 2nd generator not present with the first. In any case I will close my credit account with them today and end anymore future business based on this experience.

Unprofessional Management Behavior
I recently stopped at the Harbor Freight in Corsicana while traveling and overheard a manager loudly berating an employee. I later saw them in the next aisle and noticed the manager’s name badge read Tonya.
It was loud, rude, unprofessional, and uncomfortable to listen to—and I was not the only customer who heard it. I understand managers sometimes need to address employee issues, but there is an appropriate time, place, and way to do that. Publicly reprimanding and embarrassing an employee in front of customers is not it.
Tonya either needs additional training in leadership and professionalism or should reconsider whether management is the right position for her. The entire interaction left a very poor impression of this store.

HARBOR FREIGHT — THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I purchased a brand-new Predator 5500 generator from Harbor Freight, and within TWO WEEKS, it malfunctioned. I took it back to the store and exchanged it for another Predator 5500. Unfortunately, the second generator malfunctioned too.
At that point, I was completely done with the Predator 5500 and just wanted a refund. Instead, I was told the store couldn't process my return because of a mistake Harbor Freight made during the original exchange. So, once again, I was left having to deal with the consequences of someone else's mistake.
I contacted customer service, and I was told that if I shipped the generator back to them through UPS, I would receive a check in the mail THAT SAME WEEK.
I did exactly what they told me to do.
Harbor Freight has now had my generator for FOUR WEEKS.
I've called customer service SIX TIMES since they received it, and I still can't get a straight answer about why this is taking so long. Every time I call, I'm given little to no useful information. Now I'm being told that it could take 3 TO 8 WEEKS JUST TO MAIL MY REFUND CHECK.
Seriously?
I bought a brand-new generator. The first one failed. The replacement failed. Then, because of a mistake on Harbor Freight's end, I couldn't simply return it to the store. I followed customer service's instructions, shipped the generator back, and was originally promised my refund check that same week.
Now, FOUR WEEKS LATER, they still have my generator AND my money, and I'm being told I may have to wait another 3–8 weeks just for them to send the check.
That's potentially 12 WEEKS of waiting for money that should have already been refunded.
The defective generators are one thing — products can fail. What's completely unacceptable is how Harbor Freight has handled the situation afterward. The lack of communication, conflicting information, broken promises, and complete lack of urgency have made an already frustrating situation even worse.
I've been more than patient. I've called six times. I've followed every instruction they gave me. I've shipped their generator back to them. At this point, I just want the money I'm owed.
If you're considering spending your hard-earned money on a Predator generator, I strongly recommend doing your research first. My experience has been two defective generators, four weeks without my money, six calls to customer service, and still no refund.
Harbor Freight needs to do better. This is absolutely unacceptable.
